Need AKL Kidani education please.

Starting to look at next year. We stayed at the AKL in a studio (sav) view for a weekend in Dec and loved the play area but that pretty much wraps up my knowledge on the AKL villas. As I was playing with the points calculator I noticed value studios and value 1 bedrooms and so on. What is a value? Are they hard to book at the 7 month window? (Target dates end of May-1st week of June 2011)

The Value Villas only exist in Jambo House at AKV. They were standard hotel rooms that were converted to DVC units. They are approx 3 feet shorter and have a smaller balcony than the other villas of the same room size at Jambo House. The Values are very popular and can be difficult to reserve once the 7 month window opens. All of the other DVC units in Jambo House were converted from Deluxe hotel rooms.

The Kidani Village portion of AKV was built from the ground up as DVC units.
