Need Advice

I will be arriving on May 20th into LAX with a friend. We are coming into L.A. to leave on a tour the following morning. We are thinking about switching our flight on the 20th to get into LAX around 9:30 AM, so that we can go to Disneyland.

What are opinions on the crowds for May 20th?

The tour company has us staying at a hotel near the Montebello Town Center shopping mall. I called the hotel and they said that they were about 15-20 miles from DL. They said that they could call a taxi for us. Are their taxis around DL that we could catch when we get ready to leave that evening?

It would probably be between 11 AM-12 Noon or later before we could get to Disney when you take in consideration getting to the hotel to drop off our luggage and then getting to DL. Would it be wise for us to even try to go at all?

It really depends on what/how much you want to do while there. The first part of the day won't be too bad, but after 5 or so, a lot of locals will probably come in for the later parade and the fireworks. Getting a cab back should be easy enough--there's a transportation area on the Harbor Blvd side of the main entrance. I just wouldn't want to pay the cab fare.
