My hubby & I will be flying in to WDW for a relative's wedding at Best Western LBVR 11/7 - 11/13. Is it easier to rent a car, since we will need transportation to get to the hotel & visit WDW or just rely on Disney's transportation. We are newbies at this--HELP!!

I could be mistaken, but I don't believe WDW provides transporation to that hotel. If it is close to Downtown Disney, you could walk to that location to catch WDW transportation busses. Else you will need to rent a car or rely on any shuttle service the hotel itself may provide.

I think that's the Best Western in DD. Bus service is decent. I think a rental car gives you more flexibility.

Where will you be staying? I like to have a car even if I'm staying at a Disney Resort. Many people prefer to use WDW transportation only or maybe in conjunction with an occasional taxi ride; they also pay for transportation from/to the airport.

You may find that the costs for car rental during a 6-day stay are close to the cost of roundtrip transportation from the airport plus a couple of extra taxi rides.

What I like about having a car:
If the resort is spread out, my car may be closer than a bus stop.
I don't have to wait on buses.
I can have extra clothes and cold drinks and snacks in the car ready for me when I leave the parks.
I don't have to stand on the ride back to the resort and all family members can sit near each other and converse (is that good or bad:confused: )
Its easy to go different places outside of WDW for groceries and other shopping, restaurants, and non-Disney entertainment.
A car is convenient for traveling between resorts.

What I like about WDW transportation:
I don't have to ride (wait for) a shuttle at park parking lots. (I usually don't have to when driving either, but occasionally I do.)
It can be interesting to talk to the bus driver.

Much of what I like about a car can be accomplished by using a taxi, but the costs can add up.

I almost always take WDW transportation directly to the MK since parking is at the TTC.
