My wife just told me that we are pregnant with our first child on the way!!! I am so happy!!! We are still very early in the game. But our trip is scheduled for Nov 7 -11. All ADRs and FP+ were booked before she told me. I am the planner in the family.

She will be about 10 -11 weeks during our trip. She has told me not to make adjustments to the trip. That if she doesnt want to ride the ride, I can just take her Magic band and go again. But this doesnt totally sit well with me. I want her to be able to enjoy the parks and rides with me. I am looking for a list of rides that she can ride or any advice you can give. First of all, congrats!!!!! party: Oh...and since I've got 3 kids, speaking from experience some condolences are in order too.... :rotfl2:

I'd check with the doctor, but the ones I'd have most concern with are the coasters...Space Mountain, BTMRR, EE. Dinosaur is also a really rough ride. Not sure if that would be an issue for her at that early stage, but I'd definitely ask.

Congrats!

Just FYI, I was still nauseous and exhausted at that point in both of my pregnancies. You just aren't going to know in advance how she will feel.

Lol..Thank You!!! Yeah I figured about the coasters. Yep, I will have lots of questions for the doctor. I did not realize Dinosaur was so rough.

Congrats!

Thanks, I am waiting for the morning sickness to hit. I figure there will be a lot more breaks. and if we dont make every FP oh well.

First off, congratulations!!!

You are going to get answers running the gamut on this, so first off, have her talk to her doctor. He will know exactly how her pregnancy is going, whether there are any concerns outside of it being a textbook pregnancy etc. that no one here on a message forum could possibly know about.

In general though, I would say at 3 months in, she will just be starting to show, she shouldn't be getting tired terribly easy at that point yet, though there could be some issues with morning / motion sickness. Don't schedule crazy busy days. Make sure to leave some time for just taking it easy.

Mission Space: 1:15pm - 2:15pm, (non intense side fine . . . more intense side, I would think twice about, and consult dr) Spaceship Earth: 2:35-3:35pm, Frozen Ever After: 7:55-8:55pm

Nov. 8

Breakfast: Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory (French Quarter Meal Place)

Uber by 815, 830 at the latest. Want to get to universal when it opens

Universal Open 9am- 7PM

Universal Day: My wife loves Harry Potter (I would be very wary of roller coasters, again consult Dr.)

Fast past List: Space Mountain: 1:20-2:20pm (I wouldn't want my pregnant wife to ride this) haunted Mansion: 2:40-3:40, Big Thunder Mountain: 5:10-6pm (would consult Dr. about this for sure. Again, not a ride I would want my pregnant wife to go on)

Fast Pass: Navi’ River Journey 10:50-1150pm, Kilimanjaro Safaris: 11:50- 12:50pm, Expedition Everest 1:20pm- 2:20pm (nope, for sure I would not put my pregnant wife on this, no need to consul with Dr., just no)

4th or more Fast Pass: Kali River Rapids, Flight of Passage, Dinosaur (no to Dino, Flight of Passage would concern me, would consult with Dr due to the leaning forward position and the way the front of your body is up against the front of the seat)

Congratulations!!! Don't change your trip. It may be a LONG time before you get alone time and Disney time. ;) Dinosaur IS rough and coasters may be an issue. Her doctor will be able to answer those questions the best. Baby is going to be really well protected in there around that time, but morning sickness could be an issue. She may not have it at all, or she may have it bad and you end up staying at the resort for some time. Either way, you can spend some "Couple" time together before the big day comes...and you are at DISNEY!!! :) Good Luck!!! :)

Congrats!! We went to Disneyland when I was 7 weeks pregnant with my second. I did skip the coasters (we also had a 1 year old) and I still had a great time. Also we went on a vacation (not to Disney) when I was 12 weeks pregnant with my 3rd. We hiked Arches National Park, Zion National Park, and the Grand Canyon. I experienced some mild car sickness when sitting in the back seat, but otherwise felt great. Also with the same pregnancy I went on some roller coasters at a local park before I officially knew I was pregnant (I had an inkling, though) and later when I told my midwife she did not think it was a big deal. The baby is pretty protected in there. Even if she doesn't do the coasters y'all will still have a great time. Keep hydrated (and visiting the potty). ;)

I would probably skip Mission Space. I did notice you have an ADR at Tony's at 12:35 followed by BOG at 4. I would cancel the Tony's ADR, and use it somewhere else. you will in no way be hungry again at 4 PM for a full dinner. We've made that mistake in the past, and found ourselves cancelling and/or missing TS meals all the time (this was before the cancellation fees were in place). We plan smarter now.

If anything it would be the less intense Green anyways. With Tony's, I know most people do not like Tony's but that was the first place my wife and I ate together at Disney. So it is kinda a must do, and I want to get to BOG before the party.

Can't not do the must do's!

Enjoy your trip!

You may be doing an all Disney trip which is fine.

I did want to jump in though and say a day at SeaWorld could be great. The shows and animal exhibits are wonderful and could all be done together by everyone in your party. This show based park/animal exhibit park works better with seniors and/or someone who is pregnant than any of the Disney parks IMHO. It's a favorite park of ours that we always hit on top of Disney when in Orlando. It's the best park in Orlando IMHO for an extended family group - great for all ages from little ones to seniors. In fact we have picked it for our extended family group of nine ages 22, 23, 23, 25, 54, 57, 63, 80, and 81. It also FYI was my son's favorite park when he was three and it's still his favorite park and he is 22 now. He has always been a huge marine mammal fan, though.

I would skip Universal this time around. We are not big thrill ride people who love animals so whenever there is a Disney trip we always have a day at SW as well.

We love Tony's and always have dinner there every trip. We are adults and have gotten the child size portion of spaghetti and meatballs with no issues and a salad plus dessert so if you are concerned about how stuffed you will be for dinner you can do that. BOG is one of our favorite dinners.
