need advice

My friend gave me a confirmation number for my reservation in November. She is the DVC member and is generous enough to set me up with my family for a lovely vacation. I am wait listed for 11/9, my arrival date, but all other dates are confirmed. Should I make a reservation somewhere just in case the wait list doesn't happen? Or is it better to just wait since I still have quite a few weeks before November's trip. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

It never hurts to have a back-up plan. It may even be possible for the DVC member to reserve the same room for you on cash, as they are a separate inventory.

Be sure to check to see if the waitlist comes through before you reach the cancellation deadline on any cash reservation you may make.
