Need advice: Which restaurant?

Hello All,
I figured I would ask this question to the experts.
We are travelling to WDW soon and like to eat at the World Showcase one night.
We have eaten at the Biergarten and Akershus before. We have narrowed our choices to the San Angel Inn and L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante.
Neither of us are picky eaters and we know that we would enjoy both restaurants fare equally so I would like to know who has been to both these places, how was the atmosphere, service and bang for buck?

I've been to both and like both. San Angel is a favorite of ours, though, and we do it just about every trip. The atmosphere is wonderful inside the Mexico pavilion. We really enjoy having some Mexican food that is not just tacos/burritos, as you find at so many places. It's a nice quiet, relaxing meal, with good food. The servers here don't seem to be as outgoing as some of the other WS places, for some reason, but we've never had bad service.

Alfredo's is loud, tightly packed, and a lot of fun. It reminded me quite a bit of restaurants we went to in Italy. There's live entertainment every so often. The decor is very attractive in a gaudy, over-the-top sort of way. The food was pretty good, certainly not the best I've had at WS.

I think you'll enjoy either, but my choice would be San Angel.

We are leaning towards San Angel because there are not many authentic Mexican restaurants 'round here but there are plenty of Italian ones. We are mostly looking for something different.

thumbs way down on San Angel Inn. The service was slow and rude and the food was nothing special. go for the other.

That's what we thought, too, kenneyjo. It was not like the Mexican food we found at home.

I am a picky eater. I much prefer San Angel Inn--atmosphere & all. The mole is great!
however, the Italian restaurant is ok.

My favorite, though, is the Bistro de Paris on the second floor in France.

I have been to both and both are fine though not outstanding. I am not a lover of fancy food and I hear the more exotic stuff at San Angel Inn is good. I had Tacos and enchilada that were just okay and a new itme I had not had before that was different but good and part of Mom's burrito that was good. At Alfredos I just had spaghetti and being a lover of spaghetti I would rate this one as very good. I think the foods are about equal and service was good a both so it comes down to atmosphere. The room at Alfredos was very nice and formal feeling. The terrace at San Angel is unlike anything anywhere!

If you really care about atmosphere then go to Mexico. I've been there 2X and enjoyed the serenity and authentic Mexican charm of the pavilion. If you're interested in food and service, then definitely skip this place. Unfortunately, this is a one sided opinion because I have never been to Alfredo's.

I know this wasn't one of your choices...but how about Le Cellier. Everything was great about this place....the food ..the service ...the atmosphere. Just a suggestion.

I second the suggestion for Le Cellier. It is our favorite at WS.

We have been to Alfredo's once and San Angel Inn several times.

Hated Alfedo's. It is on a very short list of places at WDW we will not go back. Tables all crammed together, rude service, bland food.

San Angel is a beautiful place. Service was fine, food was ok. Not a place we run back to each visit, but we will go from time to time.

Well, we are not about to go there since we have access to that type of restaurant here. May be some time later when we exhaust our options at the world showcase we will consider it.
I appreciate all the feedback and have decided.
We will go to The San Angel Inn. Based on what I've heard and photos I've seen it is the clear winner. My mouth is watering already!!!
