I have been to WDW 14+ times and always stay at the moderate resorts, it's a great deal with the dining plan and I won't go any other way! Now for DL, it just doesn't seem as sweet a deal! We just got back from DL in May and had a great time but because we missed a few things, mainly Carsland so we are now going back in the fall! On this past trip to DL, we stayed at the Hojo to save some money because we opted to spend money on a nicer hotel on the beach in La Jolla and I'm glad we did that way. The Hojo was close enough, clean and all we needed but my 6 year old was struggling to walk by the end of the night and we were struggling to carry him!
My husband gets great deals through his work and these are our options and they are all in the same price range, literally $20 apart from each other and that is why the decision is so hard! They are all good neighbor hotels and I'm sure each has it's advantages/disadvantages. I have 4 options, 2 are superior hotels and 2 are moderate hotels according to the good neighbor hotel list. Of course the superiors are much further walking distance. Thanks for all input!

1. Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort (this is the one I am leaning towards because it seems to be the nicest but concerned about the distance to park? and they have shuttles but I have no experience with the shuttle system since we walked)
2. Red Lion Hotel Anaheim (seems to be slightly closer, actually this is our cheapest of the choices but as I said they are all within $20 of each other.)
3. The Carousel Inn (the closest hotel to the park. I remember seeing it on our way to the Hojo, it was alot closer)
4. The Fairfield Inn ( Ironically our most expensive option but considerably closer than the Sheraton and Red Lion)

which would you pick of the 4 options?

I think the Sheraton is the nicest, but you'd definitely be taking either their shuttle or the ART shuttle. I've heard almost all good things about the ART, and I think no matter how close your hotel is everyone is still tired of walking by the end of the night!

+1 on the Sheraton Park Hotel! Stayed back when it was Coast Anahiem Hotel loved it way back then. Bit of a walk to park but could be done, look on google maps to find exact distance. One other thing if you book try to get park view, perfect view of fire works and DCA. Rooms are bigger with high ceilings. Would stay here in a heart beat!

we stayed at the Sheraton Park and while its a 15min. walk it was easy enough to do in the AM... you can always use the ART shuttle or even the Toy Story parking lot shuttle which apparently is only a couple of minutes from the hotel. we never used it personally though. I liked the sheraton a lot

Thanks! This does help, I had a feeling that I would prefer the Sheraton but I just needed feedback to justify the walking distance. On the way to the park it will be fine but at the end of the night is a different story! We will just take the the shuttle. Just didn't know if the Carousel or Fairfield were better deal because it is so much closer. Thanks for your opinions, it does help! I love the DIS!
