Okay, this is long but I know I will get some kind of answer from my fellow diser's. I have a reservation that does not require a deposit until 8/23. I have it at the Poly with the CKO discount. I am trying to have the name changed and pay for it. There are alot of folks traveling with us as a group. We are staying at different resorts. I wanted to pay for the reservation and have the correct names added to the reservation an go on to the rest of my day. They will not chage the name and are telling me I need to rebook and they have no more of the discounts left. I am holdig the discounted rooms in my hand. How do i get this resolved? I guess I can call back and try another CM does anyone have any advise, I need it soon. Thanks Denise

What I would do is call them back. Explain the situation. Tell them you reserved all of the rooms, but others will actually be staying in them. (they can look at your profile to confirm this) Then tell them you need to ADD a name to reservation, just in case the other party gets there before you do. That way either one of you can check in. Then just put the person's name who will be staying at the Polynesian on that ressie and you should be all set.

Good luck!

Okay thanks I think I will try again. I think that this new policy is somehow not working the way they want it to. The person said something about me having duplicate reservations but I don't have them and I jus t need to change the name. maybe what i should do is just add Mariel's name and then delete Alicia's later. I'll try it.

I know that the resrvations are in fact "Non transferrable" and thats why they are giving you the hassle. Just call and add the others that will be staying in the room, so if they get there first it won't be a problem for them to check in. Even if you arrive first, they will need to be there to get room keys and have charging priviledges added so their own credit card gets charged as I'm sure you don't want to leave your card for their charges! When they get there they just need to present the reservation confirmation paper with their names on it too so they can get their keys. You can have multiple ressies as long a the names listed on each on represent the fact that different people will be in each room. Let us know what happens!

Do I take my name off the ressie? Maybe that is where I am having my problem, I tried to add a name and pay for the ressie but the woman keeps saying I can't have multiple reservations for the same time. I agree but I won't be in that room I have my own family and I am sure they don't want to be with 6 other people in the room. this is nutty. I must have some sort inability to communicate. I am thinking that I m just going to forget the whole discount thing for these folks and if they have to pay full price well then I did my best to try for them. I really did. It is a shame because now someone will get these rooms for even less I bet than what they were willing to pay.

I would do this. Call and say that you booked two rooms for your family since you are more than one room allows. Then tell them that when you booked the two rooms, the Cast Memeber that you spoke with did not ask you what the names of the people in the other room were. Then after doing more research, you found out that it would be impossible for your family members to check in if the reservation sysytem didn't have them listed, you realized that you better call and speak to them about it. Be adamant that you are not holding both rooms for yourself, and that one room will be occupied by you and your family and the other by the other people and that you were just booking the two rooms together to be assured you would all be at the same resort. You might want to send them the money for both reservations first, because I guarantee you that once they have that money, it will be easier to make any changes, because they are not about to give it back to you for something so easily correctable!

I forgot to ask...do these reservations have the same exact reservation number or two different ones? If they have different ones I would call and pay one (assuming you want to charge it?) and then call back tomorrow and pay for the other one. Then call and add the names after that.

I think I would transfer the reservations to DU - and let them deal with Disney.

The ressies would then be in DU's name (with you as the client) and things would workout pretty well.

please e-mail webmaster@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com and they will be happy to assist with this and there is no cost to you!

Hi Trekker,
I was wondering if this would be aproblem for Dreams I think I will give it a try. I know the people are going to DW and they want to stay at the Poly with us. We don't have to have rooms in the same building or anything. I will email them and see what they can do. thanks for the info.Denise
