I'm looking at an Aurora dress online at Party America....
It's the Aurora Pretige Girl dress

http://www.partyamerica.com/product...a+costume+prestige+girl.do?sortby=bestSellers

Just wondered if anyone has seen this. I bought a costume at party america last year but it was very cheap ~$15 and was also very cheaply made but served it's purpose. I would like a nicer dress for DD to wear in the park and this looks really cute, but I'm not sure of the quality.
Thanks in advance for any advice!!! :flower3:

Another issue...is it too cold for the dresses in late Nov?
TIA!!

Hi! I was watching sadly as you didn't get any responses, because I really didn't know the answer to the dress question, but regarding being too cold in Nov. to wear it, I think you'll be fine. Today it was 75 at the park and pretty warm. I was in a tank top and jeans and sweating. Maybe someone else has the link to the average temps at the park.

Thanks so much for the response. I've seen the average temps and the days seem to be warm enough although the mornings may still be cool. It always seems much warmer to me with all of the people and concrete anyway!! I'm glad to hear that confirmed!!
Maybe someone will know something about the dresses tomorrow, since most "normal" people are probably in bed.;)
Hope you had a great time today....11 more days for me!!!:yay:

I have no clue about your dress situation, sorry!
I had no idea it was so warm still- and here all this time I have been buying gloves, hats, scarfs LOL. I even almost bought a new thick jacket to wear over my turtleneck, t shirt and hoodie! I figured I would be freezing at 11 pm and at 7 am..... :rotfl2: I guess I wont be needing all of that! My trip is 10 days away and counting!!
I am sure your daughter will look beautiful no matter whichever dress you pick out! Good luck!

It's supposed to start cooling down over the next week or two (or at least that's what they're saying right now). I don't think hats, gloves and scarves will be necessary though. I'm a cold weather wimp (yes, a california girl) and I very rarely think it's cold enough to wear that type of thing down here. It will be chilly in the mornings and evenings though, like you said. Layers are always good.

OP, sorry, I can't help you with the dress issue either. Maybe your DD could wear a long sleeved shirt under the dress at least in the mornings/evenings. I see lots of kids wearing clothes under their dresses, especially when it's cold. With how big and puffy those dresses always look, I would think it would be better to wear it when it's a little cooler. I always think they look like they would be really uncomfortable to wear in the middle of summer. Good luck making a decision on the dress!

Definitely bring at least the hoodie. That's my cold-weather outfit of choice. At night and in the early morning it will be in the mid 50's. Anything more than a hoodie over a t-shirt and I tend to get too warm because I walk around so much. If you are sitting still for a parade, etc., you'll probably feel a little cooler.

DisneyMomma81...how was the quality of the dress you ordered? It looks to be very similar to the one I'm looking at.
Thanks to everyone for the advice...I'm still on the fence.
I had a princess party for my kids last week and rented some costumes and I may just end up buying those to make things easy. They are not as "glitzy" as many of the ones you buy online, but are very well made and seem to hold up to anything!!
My avatar is a picture of my DD in one of the costumes!!

I'm pleased with it ~ I'd order it again if I needed or wanted to. The dress your DD is wearing in your avatar is lovely ~ if she & you liked it, it's comfy and you like the price go with that one.

My sister in law, however, wears that sort of thing so often! She grew up in FL, spent time in NC (for undergrad and law school) and moved because they couldn't handle the winters, LOVED the heat of San Antonio, and now live i San Diego. The three times she's been to Disney with us, as soon as there's even a hint of a chill, she's bundled up.

Layers are good for CA, even so cal! Bring your cold stuff, you just never know.

Our December '07 trip, we were absolutely FREEZING one morning. It was when Cafe Orleans was open for breakfast, and we were so cold. DS had fleece mittens, fleece hat, sweater, but was turning blue. But most of that trip, it had been *warmer* than our September '07 trip!
