I'd like some advice/opinions on which of these I should choose. We want to do a breakfast buffet on Sunday morning before heading off to Epcot or Magic Kingdom and have looked at either Crystal Palace or Beach Club-Cape Mays breakfast buffets.

I was thinking that since we haven't decided which park to do first on this day, we could either start at MK and eat at Crystal Palace or go over to the Boardwalk walk around and eat at BC-Cape May, then walk to Epcot for a couple of hours then catch the boat to MK.

We really don't have preference of characters as we're also doing Chef Mickeys for dinner one evening.

And let me just note that since Hollywood and Vine cancelled their breakfast offerings this put us in a bind. My DD loves breakfast foods and eats these better than any other meal. So I'd like to get her at least one b-fast buffet.

Thanks

I would say a lot of it depends on where you are staying. If you aren't at an Epcot area resort then you'll have a problem getting to the BC for Cape May breakfast unless you drive, but then you can only park at the BW for three hours, not all day, so that plan won't work, and you're better off going to the MK and eating at the CP.

If you are staying at one of the Epcot resorts, then the Cape May is a great breakfast, one of my favorites.

Thanks for your reply - we're staying at CBR. I've never had any problems getting on bus from our various resorts then to the nearest park then hopping on the bus to resort where we have PS.

After just reading more threads - I'm also thinking that maybe CP would be the right one to choose. We've done MANY character breakfasts, and this one is unique because it has Pooh and his buddies. Although my DD LOVES Donald! And yes we've done Donalds' Breakfast at AK, we're not planning on visiting AK since we're just doing a quick trip and focusing on MGM and Star Wars.

Thanks!!

We've enjoyed the CP on our last three trips. The food is pretty standard buffet fare, get a made to order omelet if you want to make sure it's fresh. Characters were great when we were there.

No doubt about it... the BEST breakfast buffet on property bar none is 1900 Park Faire! The food is "to die for". The buffet is SO extensive, the made to order omelettes are totally delicious, there is a huge kids buffet with kids favorites at the height that the kids can help themselves and feel a little more adult. The service was great... that OJ glass was never less than half full! The characters were delightful and very interactive.

We did this on a Sunday morning about 9:30 (much later and you will have to wait). We rode the bus to the MK, then got on the water taxi to the GF. When we arrived we were seated right away (DD was a little disappointed because she wanted to color with Mary Poppins and Bert, who were in the lobby. We lingered over breakfast and then hopped on the monorail to the MK. There was no line at the gate when we got there, either. It seemed as though many people had left after Magic Hour... so the park didn't seem overly crowded.

I will second the recommendation for 1900 Park Faire. It is really, really good. The selection is very large, too. We also like Cape May, but I think I'd go with 1900 Park Faire -- with the omelets it seems like a better value.

If you want to make a resort ps before the parks open, you can take the character breakfast bus from your resort. Ask at the desk to find out what time you should expect it. When we did that last summer, we were the only one of the bus, so it went straight to the Grand Floridian for our ps at 1900 Park Faire -- we were very early since we had allowed extra time! We were among the first people seated and had plenty of time for a big breakfast before taking the monorail to MK for opening.

You mentioned taking the boat from Epcot to MK -- I'm assuming you meant Epcot to MGM or monorail instead of boat. Since you've been a few times, I'm betting you know there's no boat from Epcot to MK.

If you're going to Epcot, there's also a pretty decent breakfast buffet at the Swan. No characters.

Our all time favorite meal at WDW is the Crystal Palace bfast. We make sure to stop there at least two or three times a visit. Great food, beautiful atmosphere and great character interaction.

Cape May hands down. Best interaction and food and the best service. The place is bright and cheery. I love it there. I still have 3 years before we can go back due to baby #2, so have a krispy kreme doughnut for me!

Anther vote for the Crystal Palace.

I was told this morning by Disney Dining that the breakfast buffet at 1900 Park Fare is being suspended as of March 23rd, until further notice.

What! I can't beleive that! It is the best breakfast by far over any of the others and we ahve done alot of them. I was there on New year's Day and had a great time! Are you sure? Wow. Hollywood and Vine and now 1900PF I can't see that.

We loved Park Fare so much that we went switched a PS and went back a second time during our trip. The place wasn't full either time(our first visit was a walk-in after we dropeed DS for the Pirate's Cruise), so maybe management feels that there is not enough dmand;but it seems to me that once Disney closes things, they are closed, and it will never be the same. What a shame...
