I just wasn't sure where to post this thread, but I need some help from my DIS family. I am planning on relocating to the Lake Buena Vista area in September, and didn't know where to start! I was hoping some of the locals could give me on advice on good neighborhoods and the not so good neighborhoods. It will just be two of us, so we will be renting until we see if it works out. So we will be looking for one bedroom apartments. Not too expensive, either. Thanks everyone!!!

You may want to re-think your move.....there are soooooo many Dis'ers that have posted they are moving to the Orlando area, it's going to be mighty crowded there!! :teeth:

LOL! We will have to have a meet!

The road that runs between 535 (Disney area) and International Dr. (Seaworld area) has a few apartment complexs, they all look very nice and although "in the middle of everything" I rarely see this road very busy.... I searched from the intersection in the middle of this road and came up with these Orlando Area listings on Rent.Net. Litterally 5 minutes to either park.... This place is very nice looking, I drive by it every Sunday and it's $665 for a one bedroom and is in a great area, bus route, on that road I mentioned earlier, next to outlet malls, etc... I wish I could live Here

Getting tired but I know of a few more, will post tomorrow or PM me...

One more thing... wanted to post... the Broadwater and Mission Club apartments are 4.8 miles to WDW and 2.2 miles to Seaworld/Discovery Cove (can see tower from apartments) and see fireworks and spot lights from both places... 7.6 to Universal/IOA and Citywalk, Pointe Orlando, Movies, etc...
Can you tell I think this place looks like a wonderful place to live, every time we got that way I think. Oh I wish we didn't have a house, dogs, kiddos living with us, etc... I'd be there in a heartbeat. But like I said before don't be afraid, it's not a road often driven (NEVER been in traffic here) yet so easy to get to EVERYTHING!

If you don't want to be right on top of things, Clermont is really nice. I scoped it out on the good word of a couple of people here on the DIS. My job threw me a curve ball, and I'm now moving closer to Tampa, but if the occasion comes up, I'll move there.

I am very new to the Orlando area, so I can't be a great deal of help in suggesting areas. If you need to know anything else about moving to the area, please PM me and I will try to help.
