Need advice on Prince Costume

Our local venue is holding a promotion for Disney Princesses on Ice tomorrow where if the kids come dressed as a prince/princess they get a free ticket to the show.

With 4 kids the cost really adds up, so we're going to try to take advantage of this offer! We went to one last year and it cost us $125..which we don't have again. So I figured, we could pay for me and dh and the kids can go free.

So......I need to figure out how to "make" a prince costume for my 3 boys, 10, 6, 5.

I don't mean really make one, but what can I put together to make it look like one.

DD has a snow white costume already so worries for her.

Any suggestions

To decorate a sweatshirt or a turtleneck shirt, you could get some cheap fabric or felt and make a vest that kind of looks like the red vest in the following link. Also, maybe a solid colored tank top could be used as the vest (instead of having to make one) and then each child could make a design out of a piece of felt and you could just safety pin it on to the front of the tank top (which is pulled on over the long sleeve shirt)...

Then you could just pull those on over top of the long sleeve shirt.

Then you could use sheets of that fun foam (from a craft store - Walmart might have it in their craft section) and some cheap rhinestone type things to make a crown like in the next link...

What's a prince? Some guy wearing a crown. Does BK still give out free crowns?

You probably need to do a little more than put on a free BK crown, but I honestly think that gets you more than half way there.

cool links! Ok.. I will have to get up real early and head to Walmart to get stuff and then have the boys decorate their crowns before we leave. I like the foam idea... I actually used it for my ds's 6th birthday party.. I made all the boys crowns out of foam.. but I totally forgot about it!
