Need Advice on ME

I need advice. Our flight arrives at 10:30. We'd like to go straight to Epcot since we can't check in until 3. Will we HAVE to take ME to our hotel? Could we take ME to Beach Club instead(to use back entrance to Epcot)? Also, we'd like to have lunch in Epcot (1:20pm ADR), but we're not sure if how much time we should allow to get there? What do y'all think?

Yes you have to take me to your resort. They scan your band several times to make sure you are on the right bus. You can check in before 3, they just don't guarantee your room ready until 3.

You could head to your resort, do online check in and just catch the bus to Epcot from your resort.

I'd reschedule. Your trip from Contemporary to Epcot will involve 2 monorail rides and then a walk to the back of Epcot (assuming your dining in WS). That could take longer than you think. Add onto that the risk of your flight being late and you have more uncertainty that is out of your control.

You should reschedule. I don't recommend making an ADR for arrival day, but if you're going to, make it for 3:30 or after.

You can check in up to 60 days in advance online.

You must take DME to YOUR resort.

Generally it takes 70-90 minutes from the time you hop off the plane to the time you arrive at your resort.

Landing at 10:30am I would say 1:20pm ADR may be cutting it close if all does not go like clockwork.

You can only take ME to your resort. Castmembers will check your Magic Band or paperwork several times to make certain you are on the correct bus.

You can check in any time after 6 AM, but your room might not be ready until 3. If you do online check in and your room is not ready you can leave your carry ons at bell services and take the monorail to Epcot.

Typically it takes 60-90 minutes from landing at MCO to arriving at the resort when using ME. From the Contemporary to Epcot you should allow an additional 60-90 minutes (wait time for two monorails, travel time, security, and walking through Epcot to the restaurant) or you could save time by taking a taxi or uber.

We usually allow 3 hours from landing to walking through a park's gate, but don't schedule a dining reservation for at least an additional hour. If there are no travel delays and everything is on time you could make a 1:30 lunch reservation, but even a short delay could upset your plans. Only make the dining reservation IF you are willing to pay the $10 per person no show fee if you miss the reservation. We usually check the app to see what restaurants are available after arriving at our resort.

You can totally check in before 3. you just won't get your room until after that time (though I thought it was four for dvc)

i might keep that ADR if I had a rental car. But not with DME.

You must take DME to YOUR resort.

No, actually you must get on the DME bus to your resort. You can get off the bus at any stop on the way.

Of course, you'd have to make plans for any luggage (carry on or other) you have with you.

Angi are you sure you can change the time and not get charged? I thought once midnight the night before came, you were pretty much locked in.

It would be nice if you could maneuver things on-the-fly.

Yep, do it all the time. Upon the advice of a CM on the phone when I called to change a time.
You can do 1 of 2 things
1 - change it to a time you can make
2 - change it to anytime in the future and then cancel it
