**Transportation question from WL to a 'before park opening' breakfast at the MK.

OK...the breakfast is at Crystal Palace at 8:05...non-EE day. So...the boat straight from WL to MK won't be running yet.

So.......

I think that we will be planning to take the boat to the Contemporary & then monorail to the MK.

So...to get to the Crystal Palace by 8:05...this is what I am thinking....

7:55 AM---- be at the gate of MK. (about 10 minutes to enter gate via Priority Seating line & then walk to CP).
7:45 AM---- be at the Contemporary monorail platform. (about 10 minutes to travel on monorail from Contemp to MK).
7:35 AM---- be at the Contemporary boat dock. (about 10 min to walk from Contemp boat dock to monorail platform).
7:25 AM---- be at the WL boat dock. (about 10 min to travel from WL to Contemporary via boat).

40 minute transit time? How far off am I? Don't laugh...I'm a VERY bad estimator.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

I want to post the run-down for driving to TTC for review from you guys too, if I may...just in case we decide to do it (but I'm not sure we can)...

7:55 AM---- be at the gate of MK. (about 10 minutes to enter gate via Priority Seating line & then walk to CP).
7:45 AM---- be at the TTC monorail platform. (about 10 minutes to travel on monorail from TTC to MK).
7:35 AM---- be parked in parking lot of TTC. (about 10 min to walk from car to monorail platform at TTC).
7:30 AM---- leave WL via car. (about 5 min to travel from WL to TTC parking lot).

35 min. travel time?

The reason I don't favor this is that we have a double stroller. If we took the boat to Contemp then husband would only have to fold it up once for the boat ride, but then it could stay open for the rest of the way (monorail ride).

If we drove...we would have to fold it to put it in the vehicle...unfold it to walk to TTC (or leave it folded BUT try to lift it onto the parking lot tram for transit....ICK!)...then unfold it again for the monorail ride.

Can you usually park close enough to TTC to walk to monorail that early before park opening?

Again...any info you can provide is appreciated. THANKS!

Every time we have parked at the TTC we've always had to take the tram from our parking spot up to the TTC. Strollers have to be folded for that.

If I were you I'd just take the bus from WL to the TTC, then hop on the monorail.

Thanks TigrLvsPooh...I was hoping to avoid taking that MONSTER of a stroller on the buses at all...if possible, but now that you mention it....

Since it's so early in the morning....the bus will probably be fairly empty & it might not be a big deal. It would probably be faster, huh? About 30 minutes total?

THANKS!

We have a monster double stroller also. ;) I think it would be a bigger pain to drive though... loading up in the car, unloading at the TTC parking lot, waiting for a tram, loading up again, getting unloaded, walking to monorail, etc. I would do the bus to the TTC or maybe the boat to the CR and then walk over to MK. We did that last month and it's really a short walk. Faster than taking the monorail all the way around. ;)

I would also vote for the bus to the TTC. We were there in Oct and took the bus for an early PC at the MK and the bus was empty. Plenty of room room for a monster stroller!

I thought it was pretty quick. I would plan about 35 min just to have it be stress free. Maybe even 40 so you can really leisurely stroll down Main Street headed to CP and enjoy having the street all to yourself. Maybe even have a family photo taken by one of the park photographers on Main Street. I loved being there that early!!

Have fun!

This is what I did when we had an early b/fast at CRT.

I took the small boat from WL to CR, then the monorail to MK. Just walked right in! Took me abt 40 minutes door to door.

The small boat starts running at 7am. So I'd be at the dock abt 7am. You will have to fold the stroller for the boat portion only.

It really was a nice route.

I did the same as Kimberle and had no problems!!

Good luck!:D

You could take the small boat to CR then just walk to MK would be faster then going to the Monorail Station at CR then riding Resort Monorail around Seven Seas Lagoon.

We had an 8:05 PS at Crystal Palace on a non-EE day too, and we took the small boat to the Contemporary, then walked to MK. We got to the WL boat dock at about 7:30 and we were at MK at about 7:50-7:55.

The walk is definitely faster than the monorail! :D
