Need advice from USAirways FF experts

We'll be using our frequent flyer miles for 3 tickets next June and now I'm wanting to extend our vacation one more day. All FF seats are currently booked for the next day, but the USAirways rep told me to keep calling back because they do have cancellations.

How frequent are cancellations? When/how often do you suggest I call back? Once a week/month/every day? Really hoping I can get this worked out!!!

Yes things change so I would call every day for awhile till you get what you need.
