So, I have 2, two night ressies for Feb 24 and Feb 25 for standard 2 queen rooms. I wanted to change it to Feb 23 and Feb 24 instead. There are standard 2 queen rooms available for Feb. 23. I ask to have Feb 25 taken off and Feb 23 added on. Should be no issue.

I am told it can't be done without changing my existing reservation for Feb. 24 to water view since that is all that is left for the night of Feb 24 in the computer. What? I already have a standard room rate and a standard room booked...why on earth would my room change to the water view? She said, sorry but that is how it is done. And then because there are no water view rooms for the 23rd, I couldn't make the two night reservation. Huh????

This is new to me...I'm going to call again but was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. There are no minimum nights or anything, it is just the normal annual pass rate.

I'm wondering what happens if there are no rooms left for Feb. 24th. What would they be charging me then if I cancel my Feb. 25th night.

I've changed dates before and have never had this happen.

Then I also wanted to upgrade one of the 2 queens to a king suite with my platinum membership. Again she said this can't be done because there had to be standard rooms available to get a suite upgrade. I have a standard room booked but because there aren't any more available I couldn't get the upgrade. Also, a new one to me.

Was this girl out to lunch or have things changed?

Hi Damo, yeah i have had probs with Loews as well. i had room booked for July at RPR, saw discounted Stay more rate and rooms available, but the rate was not available for my room :confused3 tried a few times and still could not get the rate, so eventually changed to PBH as it was the same price. Saw an even lower rate for Stay more at RPR, than before when i called, so phoned to see if i could book at the lower rate, and was not a problem so had to cancel PBH.
Not sure whats happening with their rates and not being able to apply to existing ressies, when before it was never a proble.

Well, we wanted to stay at the PBH and use our UF gold status to get a deluxe room. There were no standard rooms available at the stay more rate so I figured I'd just be able to book a bay view room at the higher rate and then be upgraded. No such luck. They wanted to charge me an extra $25/night to upgrade to the deluxe room even though I was already paying more than a standard room price. I said forget it and booked a room at the RPH with a waterview upgrade (whoop-dee-doo).

My plan is to keep an eye out for the APH rates and when they come out I can hopefully get a standard APH room rate and then upgrade to a deluxe at the PBH.

I'm not that concerned about the upgrade, I'll do without. It is the fact that they won't just cancel that one night but want me to completely change my reservation to what is in the system, totally ignoring what I've already got booked. Basically it is scrapping what I've got and starting over. That's what is very weird.
