I'm traveling Jan 31st on the western with my DS5 and DS2 and I was wondering if anybody can give me advice on whether the Key West Schooner Sails and/or the Train/Trolley Tour is a good idea with my little ones.
Also, I was thinking about doing the Dophin Swim in Cozumel. My DH wants to take my 5 year old. Is it worth the money? If we all do it, it will be about $400.00 How wonderful IS IT?
Thanks so much for the input!

Key West trolley is a nice time for the kids.....

I can't advise you on the schooner....

Hello Rachel,
My name is Shirley - a 4 generation conch (Konk) from Key West - you are most welcomed to stop by the shop and pick up a bunch of information I have on Key West - there is no charge for them - in other words free like in no cost except to come down and get them - it includes a lot of goodies on information etc along with coupons etc - also there is 10% off for the Butterfly farm etc - the conch train is nice, but because of the ages of the children, I feel that it could be too much for them - in other words boring for them - you have the aquarium which is right there at Mallory Square where the Magic is -
Anyhow as for the schooner sails - I have a brochure on that also - since I am at home and the info is at the shop, can't comment on that, but again the children are young.
Anyhow if I can be of further help, just drop me a note at snelsonbrown@aol.com
Always
Shirley

I'll second the Key West Butterfly place... DD loved it (ok so did DW & I!). The Conch Train was interesting, however, too much for DD5 (fell asleep). This year we're headed to the Aquarium. Be sure to check out Mallory Sq. at sunset. Last year DD enjoyed the "Balloon Man", as well as some of the other "interesting" acts.

I believe DS5 may be too young for the Dolphin Swim. During the swim you reall do swim with them, you get pushed out of the water with their noses on the soles of your feet (like at seaworld), you get pulled holding onto their fins. Take a look at the Dolphin Encounter, you stand on a platform in the water and touch and play with the dolphins. FWIW, it was definitely worth the money for the swim. Check out www.dolphindiscovery.com, it does say the minimun age for the swim is 8.
