Need advice for Christmas trip

We are going to attempt to use our DVC this Christmas. We will only be able to try book at seven months out, which may be impossible. HOw do I book the Candlelight Processional. Do I make that reservation when I call at 180 days for our other ADR's, let them know we are doing the DDP. Does the DDP cover this or will it be OOP?

I guess it depends what hotel you want to stay at...BC and BWV are smaller, so may fill up faster, but I bet you would have no probs at OKW or SSR ....and I think WL may be the first to be booked up as it is considered the ultimate at Christmas. However, I would like to add, that we have had excellent luck with waitlist and making reservations every day to get our desired hotel. There may be some strategies on the DVC boards.

Also, research this, but I believe the various restaurants you can make a reservation at for CP cost either 1 or 2 dining credits depending on the restaurant (they are on a tiered type system)...also if you want to go to the 5pm show I believe your reservations will be for lunch. They will ask if you are on the ddp when you make your reservations, so you will know how many credits and if you need to take lunch or dinner etc then. Research the CP dining info on allearsnet.com. CP dinner package reservations are different than regular ADRs, although they are made through the same phone line (I think). They weren't available for us to book for 2007 until after our 180 days for regular ADRs. And it doesn't help at all to make an ADR for the restaurant you want without being able to book the dinner package, if that makes sense.

thanks for the info, I am hopeful that somehow we will be able to get a studio, would really prefer AKV, but not holding my breath. SSR would be okay, being that close to DTD would be great. I will have to research the whole waitlist process.
