Hi! I'm a fairly new DVC member (since Nov '12). I'm trying to plan a trip for my family, including grandparents - 8 people total for a week in May 2014. My family (4 adults, 4 kids 3 and 4 yrs) and 2 sets of grandparents.
I know we definitely don't have enough points to get rooms for everyone for the whole week. I'm trying to figure out the best way to use the points we have and using money.
I didn't know if it made sense for some of the group to just pay for a Magic your way package, or if we should do the one time 25 pt purchase, renting points etc. Has anyone had experience piece mealing a vacation together like this?
We'll more than likely be doing the dining plan and 5 day park tickets as well. I think my DH and I may get annual passes if they have the deal they did last year in Dec for DVC members.
I'll have 197 points a the time with the ability to borrow 130 more - but honestly I don't really want to totally wipe out all of our points. I'd like to try to help our parents out if we can but they are willing to pay as well. Would like to stay at AKL in a Savannah view room.
Thanks for any advice
