Need advice - Alamo or Enterprise....

Still in a bit of a quandry here with the rental car what/where question. I was pretty much set on Alamo due to their very good prices. But recently found that with my company code I can get Enterprise a tad bit cheaper.

So here is my issue/question. We are bringing our 2.5 DD with us so I was worried about getting a rental car from an off airport agency and just how much of a pain it would be. But I also heard that with Alamo you have to stand in line for quite a bit (and yes I would have to do this as I am using a coupon/mid-size suv).

So for those with experience in the rental car agencies down there - what would you do in my shoes? Would you go with the agency (Alamo) that is onsite in the airport and just suffer the lines? Or would you drage your daughter and luggage to the offsite agency (Enterprise) so as to not risk the infamous long lines at Alamo?

I would go with Alamo (on-site). I always choose on-site, given the choice.

We rented from Alamo two weeks ago and I was very surprised to find the line wasn't bad at all. It took me about 10 minutes to get up to the counter.

Another thing you might want to try, if the Alamo line is too long...

L & M's counter is immediately to the left of Alamo. You could stop there (with a printout of your reservation as proof) and see if they'll match Alamo's rate. Lines are much shorter, if not nonexistent.

Well, since you asked . . . I'll go againist the flow. I will NEVER use Alamo again. ENTERPRISE is worth the 10 minute shuttle ride. Customer service and rates can't (usually) be beat!
