I have a situation. I talked to a Cruise Rep about a month ago about a disney cruise for our honeymoon. He told me that even though we wouldn't be going till oct. 2008 to book the rooms as soon as the dates open which will be end of Jan. My DF doesn't want to book them. He doesn't understand that the rooms and stuff go fast!!! Is it wise to wait or to go ahead and book everything?? :confused3 I had to give up my Disney Wedding :guilty: , I don't want to have to give up my Disney Honeymoon too.

I would totally tell the DF that this is important to you. I am a firm believer in planning ahead of time! There are two ways to look at it you can wait to see if you can get a better deal or you can book it and know that everything is organized(not to mention sometimes if you book it early you get a better price). I am a planner and that is what I would do. In terms of cruising doing it in Oct is not SUPER busy however doing it sooner means you have more choices in terms of staterooms. Are you looking at the Western Cruise or the Eastern? The reason I ask is that one books up faster than the other one. Perhaps you both can come to a comprimise instead of booking it now you book it in either Feb or March this way its in the middle not too far out and not too close! I am not sure if it helped at all but good luck!

i was in the same situation but, i went ahead and booked it so that i knew that it was set. i dont know if you know but if you are a florida resident you get 10% off regular or if you are a cast member you get a regular 15% off. i would go ahead and book it so it is one less thing that you have to stress about at the last minute.
when are you goign??

We are going on the cruise that goes to the Virgin Islands. It's the Oct 2008 cruise. Thanks for all your advice. I think I'm just going to go ahead and book it. That way I know I have what I want. Thanks! :cool1:

I agree i would book it in advance! I booked the 3 night cruise and the price now is more expensive than when i booked it! by about $300!

We booked our October 2007 cruise within a week of them going on sale this year. They do tend to book up, even for the "slow" seasons. For something important like that, I'd go ahead and book.

Book early. If you find a better deal you can transfer the reservation. I think I remember that. Make sure to check with Disney or your local travel agent.

Do they have adults only cruises? We thought about scheduling one for an anniversary trip but DH isnt fond of being in such close proximity to children 24/7....

Maggimus-We were on the DCL and when we went on the both 7 day (Eastern and Western) we did not want to be around kids 24/7 either. They do offer a section that is adult only (Pool area and spa is 18 and up). Also at castaway there is a adults only side of the island too! (Worth the walk!) To be honest we barely noticed the kids since there are so many adult activities to do.
