Hi there:
Had a terrible experience at Tony's Town Square a few weeks ago and want to drop a letter. Just wondering where I should direct it?? Is there a specific address for each park or is there just a guest services address. I looked on the Disney site but could not locate an address.

Thanks for your help!!!

Do tell!! I wanted to try this on our next trip-we have never eaten there.

Walt Disney World
ATTN: Guest Services - Magic Kingdom
PO Box 10,000
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-1000

is the correct mailing address for just about anything at WDW with the destination on the second line.

Tell us what happened.

We had a horrible dinner there in April. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. Yuck. $18 for it, lol ! $18! My Prego sauce tastes better.

I ended up eating ravioli off the kid's menu. (I didn't complain.) Oh did I mention it was $18 for spaghetti?

We won't go there again. (We've had decent lunches there.)

I agree - I wouldn't recommend it. We ate there in 2000 and really enjoyed it. My daughter wanted to eat there this trip and there was very little choice on the menu and what was there was grossly overpriced and only average tasting. I don't mind paying for a good meal and service at a nice restaurant, but Tony's doesn't qualify!

Let me begin by saying that we ate there 2 years ago. We had a crummy table right by the kitchen door. They were very crowded so we didn't really have a choice. It bothered DH more than it bothered me or the kids. We have been back to Disney twice since then and DH has refused to go back. This year I talked him into it. He was even looking forward to it.
Anyway, I had PS for 5:20. Around 4:50 the dark clouds moved in over MK. I was happy that I had made PS for that night. We would be dry ro so I thought. We checked in at about 5:18 and were told it would be 15-20 minutes. (I usually don't check in so late, but we were busy getting character autographs) I went to the restroom and within 2 minutes they called us to be seated. The hostess walked us out to the porch and while I said it jokingly I was mad "Is this table waterproof??" She said we caould move if it started to rain. If???? hello the clouds were getting darker by the minute and the winds were picking up. Anyway, the waitress came over and when we asked to move she too said we could move if it started to rain. We ordered and my salad and Dh's appetizer came. Meanwhile our table was right behind the statue of Goofy on the bench and now they have a photographer there taking pictures. I'm sure I am in the background of many photos and I'm not wearing my Disney smile. Well we finished our salads and the hostess appears with who I am guessing is the manager. They have a table which is still on the porch, but back a row alongside the entrance to the waiting area and they want to give us a chance to move before the rain. Hello??? I wanted to move from the start. And now there were no table inside. We move our drinks, silverware, etc. Within minutes the heavens open and it downpours. The people at the next table joked with us. When you looked at the table where we had been sitting the table was nothing but a puddle. The winds were blowing and we got nicely misted as we ate our $18 spaghetti. The waitress never cam to see how things were. She obviously knew better. As we ate and the kids were freezing, mobs of inconsiderate people rushed up the porch to stay dry. Many shook their ponchos on us. One family stood alongside our table and a balloon kept blowing in our direction. My DH snapped and told the kid (probably 10 or so) to hold on to it!! The waitress had the nerve to ask if we wanted dessert. NO WAY!! The manager? came over and I told him that this had been our worst dinner at Disney. He said that he couldn't believe it. When I said that I had requested a few times to be moved, he asked if I had a PS or had just walked in. (As if it mattered) I told him they had said 15-20 minutes and seated us in 5 but I would have rather waited for a table inside. He just walked away and we left. Sure the food is overpriced, but I expected some sort of atmosphere. Strike two... we won't be back. Not a magical dinner. Thankfully that was the only bad experience. We got back and have a cruise planned for next June. Anybody still with me???? Sorry sooooo long!!!!

:sad2:
I sympathize for you. I know what our rainstorms are like! They have been BAD lately, and last longer than usual.

I can only imagine my dh in that situation....everyone on these boards would have heard him... :sad2:

I'm sorry that this happened to you and glad the rest of your trip was magical...

I would agree that you should write a letter to Guest Services. Make sure you have the exact date and if possible the names of both the waitress and the manager. By having a date and tuime they can figure out who was the manager. If you have a credit card receipt there may be an indication of the server. Personally I hope that you did not give her a tip.

I think that at the very least they should both give you a full refund as well as a certificate for a free meal for the entire family at a future date. (Which is what you should ask for.)

I did leave a 15% tip. I tend to do 20% especially for great service, but I felt like the waitress avoided coming over as she watched the kids shivering while they ate. I checked and I do have my receipt that has the servers name. I did not take note of the manager's name, but from the date and time they should be able to figure it out on their own.
I don't think we'll be heading back there during our stay next year.

We were strong fans of Tony's for year, since they changed over to Tony's years ago. We used to make our first meal there on every trip. (we're talking 25-30 visits) But, over the last few years it has turned into one of the worst places in WDW. It will be still a long time before we go back there. I don't what happened to change so drastically, but it sure has. And, it's across the board. Used to have great wait staff, now very few of them. Strong advice to go someplace else.

Wow, I totally agree with you. We used to love it and then, I don't know what happened, but everything from the service to the food went downhill quickly. With all the great restaurants in WDW, we don't find any reason to eat there any more.

another $18 spagetti victim here...it was the worst meal, service we have had in a very very long time.
We won't be back....

Where can we eat decent Italian food in WDW if Tony's is so bad?

Not super fancy, and we prefer Pasta not seafood/meat items.
We were planning on Tony's for a sit down in MK. I know there is CRT, CP, and Liberty Square restaurant but we don't want characters and not too sure about the Castle for dinner. It seems pricey and I would rather go to a Jiko or Yachtsman.

Based on all these reports I think I'll be skipping Tony's once again.

Any other suggestions for dining in MK?

I went to mama melrose's in mgm last April and I loved everything about it! I finished my plate and the dessert was fantastic! We are making ps to go back again in September!

Mama Melrose at MGM is very good. Actually, much better than Tonys at a more reasonable price. Haven't done Alfredo's in a while, since that is a bit pricey. But that is also good.
Interesting, for those who have noticed, Alfredo's now has outdoor seating. Again. They had it when Epcot first opened for about 5 or 6 years, but there were so many birds, they enclosed the area. Last time we were by there, we noticed that they are doing it again.

I was starting to think I had lost my mind. We ate at Tony's once for dinner (at my Dsis's insistence). Ugh! Overpriced pasta with sauce that had to have come out of jar. My husband and I both couldn't believe how awful the food was. But, some people do love it. Everyone's taste is different. My Dsis and her husband loved it. They probably can't wait to go back this October. If so, I will definitely have other plans that night! :rotfl:

So sorry to hear about your dreadful experience. I would have ruptured a blood vessel for sure. I hope Disney helps make it right.

I knew there were a lot of people who didn't care for the food at Tony's! That's why I am REALLY glad we haven't eaten there! Even with the chance to make a PS now for the night of MNSSHP I didn't think we wanted to try to eat there. Yep. I'm still pretty sure we don't want to eat there! :)
