Need a really good umbrella stroller

Anyone know of a really nice style umbrella stroller? Is there one out there with adjustable handles? DH is only 6' but it kills his back to push our baby in her stroller... Anyone had any good luck finding one like that?

After alot of looking we have decided on the C5 by chicco, im 5'10 and have no problem pushing it, my husband is 5'6 he likes it also. but the best part to me was I had my brother who is 6'6 push it around and he liked it also, there arnt to many stollers tall enough for him to push without getting a backache. it is a bit price at $90 but if you are staying for at least a week it will pay for itself by the end of the trip, and it does recline and has a basket under the seat.

We got it on sale online for around $49. It's sturdy, lightweight, has the carrying strap, a canopy, reclines, 5-pt harness, and a basket. I don't THINK you can get the handles extended though. My SIL loves hers too though, and she's very tall. Maybe you can buy an extention.

Graco Mosaic all the way! It is at Target and has all the bells and whistles. I am tall and it is the only one that didn't hurt our backs pushing it. I searched high and low for it.

We've always used Bugaboo. It's pricey but very good. My DH is 6"1 and has no problem pushing it. Since DS was born in April we've being using the Bugaboo for him and for our DD2 we bought a Maclaren, which is just as good.

We bought a Maclaren Volo for our 3.5 year old before we went in February. We really didn't want to spend that sort of money but had read great reviews. When she sat in it at Babies R Us, she said "I want this one, I don't want my big stroller anymore". It doesn't adjust for height, but you won't have problems because they're really made for taller people. DH is around 6.2 and I am about 5.9 and we LOVE pushing it around - we would actually get into arguments while at WDW over who got to push!!! It's extremely light and folds down well. It also has a shoulder strap built in for easy carrying. It was PERFECT for the buses....we would see people w/ the bigger strollers trying to lug it on and not really have room, and then there was us with our cute little stroller. The seat is made of mesh material, so it's very easy to clean and dries in a jiff if it rains (VERY good chance of that while at WDW!). Also, she was able to nap in it frequently even though it doesn't recline. The kid will sit far enough back in it that they can lean their head over to either side w/ no problems. The Volo is around $100, I think we got ours for $80 because it was a floor model on clearance. I know some people on here have searched online and found great deals as well. It's a lot of money, but we are SO glad we bought it.

I second SarahKate's recommendation for the Maclaren Volo. It's everything she said. If you look, you might be able to find a 2005 model for less online. I got mine from ebay believe it or not, brand new, and got a good price on it. I love ours, and so does my daughter.

I have heard great things about the Volo, but we actually have a Britax Esprit, which I love. Again, full price it is close to $100, but I think it is worth it. Ease of folding and unfolding is great, it reclines (but not fully). DD2.5 seems to like it too. The handles are taller than the average, cheap umbrella stroller, but you may need to buy an extension for a tall person...I can't say, as I am barely over 5 feet tall! onestepahead sells an extension for about $15.00. This stroller gets two thumbs up from me!

It is only 12 pounds and folds up nicely. The cost was $137 that was also with free shipping. I bought it from Travelingtikes.com. The one thing that is differnt between the Volo and Triump is that the seat reclines. (I really wanted that because it is easier for my DD to sleep in it) I debated and researched for about 2 weeks before I finally decieded which one to buy, so GOOD LUCK to you.

but the Chicco Cortina has adjustable handle for taller parents. I've never seen it IRL but I've seen a few very good reviews of it from parents who bought it. Might be something to look into. Check out the site I linked - it has a "product demo" that walks you through all it's features.

We use a Kidco LS2000 and it has adjustable handles. I would say it's an OK stroller. DH is just over 6' and always kicking the wheels on our Chicco Capri so I bought the Kidco to replace it and he doesn't have a problem with it. It's similar to the Maclarens, has a 50lbs weight limit (& we've really loaded it up with ds and bags off the handles - it takes it pretty well). We've gotten a lot of use out of and the one thing I don't really like is the wheels are getting kind of "sticky". I probably just need to silicone them.

I'm assuming this is for your 1-yr old? The previously mentioned Volo doesn't recline at all...

Does your Volo have an attachment for a sun visor? We have the next model up (not sure of the name) 3 years ago. It reclines & has the visor on it & we love it. It's gone through 2 kids (I never used my big graco travel system w/ #2 because I love my Maclaren so much) My DS 4.5 will need something for Disney & I thought the Volo looked cooler with the mesh seat, but I was concerned about the sun visor. I guess he could wear a hat, but if there is an attachment, I may get it.

I'm reading this thread with lots of interest. I know that we will need to buy at least one - maybe two lightweight strollers for our upcoming trip. My DS will be almost 6 but I am sure he will get tired walking. Do most people recomment two strollers if they have an older kid who might need a little r&r?

The 2005 model of Volo does come with a sun canopy, so do the new 2006 models. Anything before 2005 does not and it was part of the accessory pack that was purchased seperately and included the rain cover and a seat cover. I have seen a few pre-2005 accessory packs on Ebay and some web stores. Do not make a mistake and get the 2005 or 2006 accessory packs as they do not come with the canopy.

I bought this one last night at Target. It says up to 40 pounds, and my son is 35 pounds (he'll be 3 in August). Do you think it will actually handle more weight than the 40#, or is that pretty much tops? His old stroller is up to 30 pounds and it is still okay with his weight, but we have about topped it out!

I think you'll be fine. I never go by the weight restriction. When my 1 year old wants to walk, I sometimes let my 45 pound 5 year old ride in her stroller.
