Writing a speech for speech class talking about Cinderellabration. Does the Prince from Beauty and the Beast have a name? I have drawn a blank and don't have time to rewatch the movie because the speech is due tomorrow.
Help please.

I don't think they ever mentioned his name. DD's are asleep, they would have been able to say for sure.

thanx. DH does not think they say his name either. I am thinking about putting it as the once enchanted Prince and Princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast.

I'm so glad someone asked this question. I have been wondering about this for some time myself! I keep thinking "Belle and Prince...., Belle and Prince..." and keep drawing a blank! Glad it wasn't just me! :cool1:

Thanks so much everyone. Disser's rock. In my speech i refer to him as "the once enchanted Prince and Princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast."

I recently referred to Snow White's prince as Prince Charming. She fussed at me and told me her Prince was "the Prince" and Cinderella was involved with Prince Charming. I had the right guy in my mind, I just thought they were both named Prince Charming. I did find a Disney book at home that referred to him as Prince Charming though!

Snow and Cindy's princes are both Charming

and Belle's is just the Beast..because he was a horrible monster before he was transformed into the literal term of monster. If you remember he turned the old begger away and when she transformed to the fairy she called him a monster and so thats what he should be.

haha..i think i am the only 14 year old who

a) is in love with disney

b) loves beauty and the beast and knows alot about it

c) has to wear her BATB neaklace to school everyday

haha...i feel like such a freak now.

Oh don't feel like a freak. All of those 20 year old college kids today was asking about WDW.

BATB is my favorite. When I met them on my trip, I was just in awe.

I always thought it was Eric. Don't know where I got that from. :confused3

Beast
Prince Ruskin d'Auvergnon
Love of Belle
Turns to Beast by Enchantress
Rival of Gaston
Wealthy and Selfish
Learns to Love
Dashing Blue Suit
"Show Me The Girl!"

The Beast is my favorite Prince and hero, and he comes from my favorite movie, Beauty and the Beast. The Beast was once a Prince named Prince Ruskin d'Auvergnon. He lives in a castle near Belle's village, but his heart was cold and bitter. He turned away an enchantress disguised as an old woman, and in exchange for that the enchantress put a spell on him and on the people in the castle. The spell is this: if he can find love and in return be loved before his 21st birthday, when all the petals on the rose will fall, the spell will be broken and he will return to his normal form. If he cannot, he will remain a Beast forever. The Beast is angry and impatient with Maurice, Belle's father, and at first with Belle herself. He does like her from the start, but he believes she will never see him as anything other than a Beast. He and Belle become friends and he is amazed with what a wonderful person she is, and he has very strong feelings for her, which is why he lets her go to her father. When the villagers come to destroy him, he lets them come. When Gaston is fighting him, he lets Gaston fight him. But then he hears Belle, and he has new hope because she came back. He is wounded in the back by Gaston, but Belle reveals that she loves him as the last petal falls. The Beast is turned back to his regular form and he and Belle marry.

Note: the Prince is sometimes called Prince Adam or Prince Vincent

Only looking at Disney version here...
No name apart from Beast.. but when Belle is singing to the sheep in the opening, reading from the book (which, I believe, is supposed to be the same story as what is about to happen to her), she says 'Here's where she meets Prince Charming'.

On another note.. when my BF and I were waiting to see Belle and Beast in Dec 2005, one of the minders kept coming around and telling us that Belle and Beast were going to be going soon but Snow White and 'Snow Prince' would be here soon :rotfl: :lmao: We were like, 'Snow Prince?!' :lmao:

To belle of the ball - I'm 21 and have been in love with Disney for as long as I can remember :goodvibes (of course, now there's Pixar as well!). I mostly prefer the older films, specifically 101 Dalmations, The Aristocats, Sleeping Beauty, but also more modern stuff, like Emperor's New Groove and everything Pixar!
