I'm heading to a New Years Eve party this Monday night and need to bring an appetizer or two. I'd love to bring those little cucumber bread things from Pampered Chef. I remember taking a Pillsbury french bread dough and baking it in one of those shaped pans. Then mixing cream cheese with other stuff and spreading it on the slices of bread, then topping it with a thin slice of cucumber. Can someone please post the recipe. I can't find mine. Thanks

Is this the one your looking for?

Cucumber Party Canapes
Ingredients:
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon dried dill weed
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 cucumber
1 loaf Canape French Bread, sliced
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

Directions:
1. In Small Batter Bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, dill weed and lemon zest; mix well. Cut cucumber crosswise into 3 equal sections. Peel, seed and coarsely chop one cucumber section. Add to cream cheese mixture; mix gently. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

2. Thinly slice remaining cucumber sections using Ultimate Slice & Grate; cut each slice in half. Slice canape bread into eighteen 1/2-inch slices using Serrated Bread Knife.

3. To assemble canapes, place 1 scoop cream cheese mixture onto each bread slice using Small Scoop, spreading evenly. Top each canape with 1 cucumber slice and 1 tomato half. Serve immediately.

Yield: 18 canapes

Sadly enough, I don't believe that's the recipe. I don't ever remember mixing chopped cucumber into the cream mixture and there was never any tomato involved. I THINK it was just cream cheese with a pack of italian dressing mix. But you could also use dill instead (I like it better with dill instead of italian dressing anyhow) But I'm just wondering if I'm missing any other seasoning. Oh well, I'm sure if I make it with just cream cheese and dill it'll still taste good. Thanks anyhow.

Thanks Honu,

That sounds more like it. I really don't remember the mayo being in it but it sounds close enough. thanks so much.

PS--I did try their website, but the only recipe I found was the one that the other poster found and posted. Both sound yummy, but this one is more like the one I remember.

Thanks guys!!!

I make ours with cream cheese and a pack of dry italian dressing. It is really yummy!! I haven't tried the pampered chef one.
