Late June... Early July.

We will be without our kids for ONE night. We are staying at Windsor Hills. Would like a recommendation for a romantic dinner less than 30 minutes away. NON DISNEY.

Thanks.

We love Season's 52. Get a reservation and ask to sit on the patio. It overlooks a small lake/pond. If you get there at the right time you can see fireworks from the parks in the evening

Not sure how far Windsor Hills is from International Drive, but I would recommend Salt Island (ask for a table in the Waterfall Room) or Bergamos (fantstic Italian food and singing waiters).

I looked at their website... ( Seasons 52 ).... They don't make it seem romantic, but the food sure looks good!

I've been to both of those places, and they are both nice. Seasons 52 is swankier...looks very modern. I had a good experience at Salt Island the first time I went, the second time not as good.

I know you said non-Disney, but we've also been to Victoria and Alberts and it was really nice. No kids.

I looked at both websites and they look nice, but this one night is our celebration for being married 10 years, so we want something really nice.... but I think we will pass on Victoria and Alberts as we are staying away from all things Disney this trip with the exception of one day.

Fishbone's. It's fancier food, but not real fancy atmosphere. Kind of the Florida feel. But I know that a lot of people really like it.

If I were able to go to a romantic dinner in the area, I always wanted to try Blue Zoo. It is at either the Swan or Dolphin...I forget. It looks very pretty. We always have the kids with us, so not sure when we will be able to go. Has anyone been there?

subscribing!

We would also like a grown-up dinner out. Although looks like the Kids Nite Out has a 4 hour minimum so it would have to be a good long dinner!

The Melting Pot is a nice restaurant too, but its not a place for a quick meal!

Manuel's on the 28th is awesome. It is downtown Orlando at the top of the tallest building. The entire restaurant is windowed floor to ceiling. The night views are breathtaking. You also watch planes coming into the airport. No doubt the most romantic place in town. We used to live in the Kissimmee area and this was our favorite.

I think it's closed.

Possibly someone might know if they were able to find a new location.

My vote would be for The Boheme, located in The Grand Bohemian hotel downtown. It will be about a 20-30 minute ride from the Disney area, but its worth it. 4 Diamond rated restaurant with a great menu, and there is often music in the lounge as well. The hotel is themed as an "Experience in art and music" and it definitely fits the romantic atmosphere requirement. I may be a bit biased, as this hotel used to cut my paycheck, but you wont be disappointed:thumbsup2

Bummer that Harvey's is closed as well. I used to eat at both quite often when I was working for the Bohemian.
