Need a new Camcorder! Which is best?

Hi everyone! We will be going back to WDW in June and are looking to buy a new video camera! Would like one that is light weight and easy to use. Any suggestions?

I have a JVC. Got it last Thanksgiving weekend. It's been great. Hand held same size of SonyCam. No problems.

We've gone through 4 camcorders in 5 years trying to find one that is exactly the same as you're looking for. We got the JVC Everio hard drive mini camcorder and LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

It comes on quickly, virtually just a few seconds when you open the viewer door (no button), it creates icons every time you begin recording. It's tiny and light weight (fits in my jean front pocket!) and is VERY Economical!

We bought ours off HSN and got it without tax (if bought online only not by phone) and got it on 5 flex pays. So for $60 we were able to get it and try it. Also, on HSN if you don't like it, you can send it back until JANUARY 31st 2010 right now! So you could try it for 2+ months and send it back for a full refund, no questions asked, if you don't like it. I highly recommend the JVC EVerio, but, really any camcorder you choose on HSN would be good because you can send it back and try another over 2 months! Here is a link Best of luck!

I'm in the same boat...need a new camcorder. (Especially since I went to Sam's to buy tape for our 12 year old one and realized they don't sell it anymore. LOL) I saw the Canon VIXIA HF200 HD got good reviews on cnet and is in the top 5 at Amazon...but it looks kind of spendy. (Again, this could be since I haven't bought one in 12 years. ) So, I look forward to checking out everyone's suggestions on here!
