Need a new camcorder - sony hdrpj260v??

We are heading to disney in a few weeks and we need a new video camera. Ours is over 11yrs old still works, but big and bulky.

It will be used to tape family parties, our kids, their sporting events and vacations.

What do you think of the Sony HDRPJ260V. Our budget is about $650.00

I looked that specific model up on a few review sites, plus amazon, and seems to get really good reviews fwiw.

Looks like a nice one! I wouldn't mind having it, lol!!

look into a kodak playsport they are tiny around 100$ and water and shock proof and the video is quite good... much better than my 5 year old jvc hd camera. The size and "protection" it has are so worth it as a pocket camera and you will be much more likely to use it because it's so easy to take it out.

thanks, i also read some reviews and most seemed positive. I think we are going to the store this weekend to check it out.
