Need a little computer help

DD#1 installed AIM (no need for it since we have AOL) and it came with an annoying thing called weatherbug. Every time I log on both come up open. I have gone to "add/remove programs" several times but it only deletes the shortcuts. Where do I go to get rid of these?

I think you have to use the uninstall feature to actually get rid of it, I know we had that at one time and I *think* I went to the actual website to uninstall it

My computer was completely infected with adware and spyware and weatherbug was among the many programs I had. I ended up having to get professional help for mine!

I did a search and came up with this link for removal instructions:

Thanks, I think I finally got at least AIM uninstalled--I can't find weatherbug on the add/delete board but it came up last time when I shut down and rebooted.
Now I'm getting popups (in spite of popup blocker) from a place called "Aurora"--never seen that one before but I got 5 in the last 10 minutes. Guess I need to run McAfee again!

Yeah, ad-aware's great for getting rid of Spyware. You should try Avast for virus scanning too: http://www.avast.com/eng/down_home.html
