My neice has been offered a Scholarship in USA as she is very good at football and plays for a famous Glasgow club although not the team she supports.:lmao: The problem I have is my brother has asked me to try and get flights for him. Can anyone help.

Details

Fly from Glasgow
23 July to cody/billings

Return to glasgow for xmas break on 16 December

Thanks

Greetings from the other side of the pond!

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking but I'll take a swing at what I'm thinking.

Fly to Seattle, Washington on whatever airline gets there.

Then take Horizon Air to Billings, Montana. Horizon is the little brother of Alaska air and they run alot of those smaller routes. I know there is one nonstop and a couple other flights (via Portland, Oregon) a day to Billings from Seattle on Horizon. You even get free local wine or local beer/ale in flight!
It's very easy! Horizons website is under alaskaair.com
I hope that is what you are asking. good luck

Liz:)

Had a poke around on Kayak and Expedia and its coming up around £900 cheapest price with some very convoluted routing.

Hi,
I kind of did this from memory since i have lived and traveled up and down the west coast of the US and Canada.
NOne of the flights are great. It's either flying into the EAst coast and a few plane changes. Or flying the polar route which is longer but more direct. Flying to Seattle or San Francisco then getting on a Horizon flight to Billings would be my choice, but I'm familiar with these routes. However, going through an eastern US city may be more cost effective. I'm not sure of your brothers finances.

Have you tried Expedia.com or travelocity.com just to get an idea of the routing?

I have a good friend who is Scottish here in Edmonton. Her parents fly to Glasgow all the time. I'll ask her about the part about flights from Glasgow to North America vs going through Heathrow.
Once you get to the West coast , Billings isn't that far away.

When I talk to my friend I'll PM you!:)

Liz
