Okay need a restaurant suggestion.

I need a restaurant in Epcot for our last WDW meal. It will be lunch around noon before we head off at 3pm to catch the Magical Express and head to the airport. I need a "fun" restaurant for the kids, yet a good filling meal for Mom and Dad as we'll be eating a light airport meal later on (yuck after a week of DxDDP!)

So tell me which you suggest for kids:

Coral reef - that fish tank is the draw here!
Biergarten - loud and noisy perfect for my kids - but kid food is limited
Nine dragons - my kids love chinese food, nothing entertaining
Teppan Edo - might be entertaining for the kids
Akershus - BOOKED, but the menu doesn't even look good for lunch

So what do you all suggest?

(We'll be dining at Le Cellier, Garden Grill during the week)

Our DD (4) & DS (1 1/2) love Teppan Edo & Coral Reef. Our DD told us she loves to eat her food out of the monorail and the cook does magic trick during cooking.

We went to Akershus for our last dinner on our last trip and it was the worst food I ever had in WDW.

My gang loved Biergarten! My boys (11 and 9) loved the potato leek soup so much that I've been looking for the recipe. Really the food is not too out of the ordinary. Good luck!

Another vote for Teppan Edo. Our kids weren't overly thrilled with the fish...there's only so much fish watching you can do, and apparently our hour long dinner exceeded that limit!

And just as an aside, we were at Askershus a few weeks ago for lunch, and we had one of our best meals there.

So I went with Biergarten :thumbsup2

I haven't been there in 9 years, back then I don't recall caring for the food, but things can change over the years.

I'm much more interested in entertainment for them and I like that the restaurant is loud and noisy, just incase they are!

I think they can make a meal out of the hotdogs, mac and cheese and pretzel bread. :thumbsup2

My other deciding factor was it's different from what we eat at home. We eat Italian and Chinese all the time.

Coral Reef: Yeah, the fish thing does wear off after a few minutes! Seriously, how long can anyone watch fish! :rotfl2:

I think you will be happy with your decision. My gang (9,9,&10) loved this one too. They are pretty adventurous and enjoyed trying some new foods and the atmosphere was a lot of fun.

I actually suggest walking over to the Beach Club and going to Beaches & Cream for burgers, shakes and ice cream. If you go before noon it won't be crowded.

We'll be there eight days, I'm sure one afternoon while at the pool we'll have lunch at Beaches and Cream.

Remember that the Biergarten show doesn't start until like 12:45 or 1:00, so you'll have lunch time before you see the show. Depending on how long you want to stay...this may be an issue.

My DD loved the Biergarten. for some reason, I was thinking they had some mac and cheese. She loved the pretzel breadsticks, the macaroni salad, potatoes and even a little bit of the sausage. She really liked the kraut...yeah I know, pretty surprising!!

Check the show times so you know when to expect it... We've been there right at noon before and the show was starting when we were done and just about ready to leave...around 12:45 or 1:00

Wow! Didn't know this! Thanks for the heads up!:thumbsup2
