Need a hotel that I can get back and forth from without a vehicle

I've read reviews from trustworthy posters that the private shuttle at the Candy Cane Inn was able to handle an ECV and that the drivers were very friendly and helpful.

Can you tell me the distance between Candy Cane and DL?
Thanks.

We've found it to be about a 5-10 minute walk depending on the signal and the crowds. It is just north of the ABC Mart on Harbor.

Honestly the OP shouldn't base their decision on using a shuttle whether someone else using it may get their feelings hurt by having to wait an additional 60 seconds while the driver gets it loaded up.
In a perfect world sure, but in practice, it takes a few minutes for the driver to move the lift, load, strap it in, etc... If it's crowded, others have to move. Many people will be OK with it, but if you are the type of person that hates being the object of attention in situations like that, just warning how it can be. I went with someone who used an ecv on ART, and they didn't want to do it a second time.

It is 10 minutes. You may make it in 8 if you really hoof it. I have a walked it a number of times when I missed their shuttle.

Well the way you worded it is that the OP may not want a shuttle because people would be mad at them for taking a few minutes to get loaded, which should never be a deciding factor. The vast majority of people with ECV's that use shuttles/busses just want to get on and get off like other people.

i love the candy cane inn.. stayed there 3 maybe 4 times. The shuttle was great. I never took it but my mom and oldest would and we would "race" to the parks.. There are many others that are closer though

Part of my not wanting to use a shuttle is, I may want to go back to the hotel for a mid day break. And I like being able to make my timing, my own. I have been spoiled by staying at the Grand and the Disneyland Hotel.

FWIW, the CCI is ideal IMO when discussing shuttles. Their shuttle runs every 30 minutes. And the couple times I missed their shuttle the walk is about as far as the DLH. I too am not a big fan of shuttles at DLR but CCI is an exception.
