need a good solution

O.K. So we started with 3 kids/2 adults going to Disney we are now up to 4kids as we have added another to the group. We made reservations offsite for the last two nights to go to the space center and got a good deal on a room for 5 persons before the 6th person was added. 2 queens and a small p/o sofa. So it is non refundable. Do we wing it and hope everyone fits or ditch the 200.00 that is non refundable. Upgrades are based on availability on arrival which will be early July so I can not be sure there will be availability for such. Suggestions???

Have you tried to call the hotel directly and explain the situation? I would think that if they have rooms that accomadate 6 or more than they may allow you to change to a higher priced room (more money for them) if you pay for the difference in advance. They base room occupancy on fire codes from what I have been told.

Not sure what else you could do in this situation. I personally refuse to lie regarding hotel occupancy (we have a family of 5), but I am sorta OCD when it comes to rules.

I did exactly that and called and explained the situation and they said that upgrades could only be done once we got to the hotel and based on availability at that time and that if we could fit 6 that is acceptable they just do not provide any more bedding like cots etc.

Oh, well then I would just keep the room you already have then. Maybe bring an air mattress from home just in case you can't upgrade to a bigger room.

Thanks. I guess I am a bit OCD because i am just cutting my losses to not have to worry about it and used some more vacation points to stay onsite longer.
