My DD's class is having an alphabet picnic. They each had to pick a letter and mine chose the wonderful "E". Wish she would have picked an easy letter.

I'm going to be starting school next week and won't have much time on my hands. Looking for something cheap and easy. The only thing I can come up with is "eggs" and going out and purchasing some deviled eggs.

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Edamame
Elbow Macaroni w/butter or other sauce
Elephant Ear Cookies

Eggo waffles
Enchilladas
Eclairs
Energy bars
Egg nog
Egg rolls-you could just get the ones that are premade and bake them until they are crispy and add some sweet and sour sauce.

My first thought was also deviled eggs. Eggs are really a familiar food that the kids will immediately associate the letter E with, plus a lot of kids will like them.

I think it's important not to go too exotic and pick something that the kids will think "E".

It's a kindergarten class so I might have to do the deviled eggs.

E eats everything and Z eats E

They Might Be Giants have a kids CD out called Here Come The ABC's and there is a song on there about how E eats everything. Might be a cool song to take in for E day. :)

You cant get easier or cheaper than a hardboiled EGG!!!!! ;)

It looks like I'm the only one thinking of Entemann's!!!! hahahahaha! Grab a box of Entemann's cookies and there you go!!!! Hahahaha!!!!

Sorry -- the only thing I can think of is eggplant w/dip.

Honestly, though, I think the kids will go for egg noodles w/butter. Kids love noodles!!!!

I think the egg noodles w/butter sounds like a good idea. I can whip that up quickly... That would make a good amount since there are 22 children in the class.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. The picnics in a couple of weeks so I still have time to play around with suggestions.

Honestly, I don't think the kids will "get" egg noodles. They'll think they are for N.

Endive no cooking !

Equal give them each a pack haha
