We are doing a split stay and have decided to do the Deluxe plan for the first 5 nights, that way it will include our mugs and whatever we want to eat (have no problem using credits on CS meals also as we go).

Anyhow since we have the DX plan I was considering adding a couple more TS restaurants to the mix. Here is what we have currently for our 10 day stay:

Cape May Cafe - D
Ohana - D
Chef Mickeys - twice, one B one D
Crystal Palace - L
Garden Grill - D
Coral Reef - D
Hollywood & Vine - L
Planet Hollywood - L

I want to try for Mickeys Backyard BBQ, but is booked so will keep checking.

Any suggestions for any other TS we should try? It is me, DH and DS who will be 3 - we love character meals, but also like some non-character meals. Thanks!

For the Deluxe portion I would try for at least 1 Signature meal. Maybe even splurge all the way on childcare for DS that night for a really adult-only experience. In that case, it's totally up to you for which menu most appeals to you and DH.

For other TS options, I don't see anything at AK: how about a Tusker house characeter breakfast buffet? And maybe a TS meal at Yak & Yeti? Y&Y has the same menu L/D so you can decide what timing works best for your family. If we do a breakfast buffet we may not want 'lunch' until 3 pm and then dinner is nothing but snack credits.

The Biergarten in Germany is another good TS option; non-character but both you and DS might enjoy it. I know you already have several MK/area options but LTT, Casey's, and the Plaza might also appeal to the family.

If you can't get Mickey's BBQ, you could go to Ft. Wilderness after dinner for the Chip & Dale campfire sing-a-long and outdoors movie.

^ I had forgotten about LTT - but actually that menu really does appeal to us, so thats definitely going on the list to try for! I wish it was still a character meal!

I think we might do Cinderellas royal table for a 2 cr meal, even though i only have a boy he likes the idea of eating in the castle and its available for breakfast on one of our days.
