Hello All,

Can someone please recommend a restaurant at Disney Springs that has good food but is also kid friendly?

My husband and I are adventurous eaters, but have 2 little ones that don't do well in very fancy restaurants. I'm trying to find a place that has interesting food (i.e. not T-Rex cafe), but will also be entertaining for the kids (or at least tolerable).

Thanks!

Honestly, I have never been to any restaurant at WDW that isn't kid friendly. I think Victoria and Albert has an age limit, but other than that everywhere we have gone (including the signature dining restaurants) has had a lot of kids there. Have you taken a look at the menus? I would just make sure there is something they will like on the menu (WDW tends to go out of their way for kids - I know of many times when the kids didn't like anything on the menu so the server asked them what they wanted and they try to accommodate). Many restaurants provide coloring or activity sheets for the kids in case it isn't an very fun environment for them. We've been taking our son since he was 8 months old (he is now 15) and at every stage he has been happy at all kinds of WDW restaurants. I would suggest finding a place that appeals to you and your husband and then take a look at the kids' menu to make sure they will eat something. Most places have kid-friendly food.

For table service, I would suggest Splittsville. It has a little bit of everything. For counter service, Wolfgang Puck Express or Blaze Pizza.

I felt your pain....especially if your little ones are very little.

I remind my daughter that she ruined each and every table service meal we took her to at Disney for a number of years.

But there is hope - she's now an 8 y.o. foodie who enjoys fried oysters, blue cheese, and lamb chops (who knowingly tried octopus at Capa).

Take a look at Paddlefish. There is an outside area that may offer a safe distraction between courses.

And if your children are old enough - resorting to bribes can help.

"If you sit quietly while mommy & daddy eat their $million portion of caviar at Boathouse (or Paddlefish), we'll buy you chocolate at Ganachery, gelato at Vivoli il Gelato, pastry at Amoretti's, and/or a cupcake at Sprinkles."

Lastly, while not at Disney Springs, the Signatures at Swan & Dolphin offer 2-hours of 'free' childcare. There are age restrictions, etc. at Camp Dolphin.

Another vote for Wolfgang Puck Express. We have 3 young kids and like to eat outdoors. So the kids can laugh\be a little loud and not disturb other patrons. They have a nice outdoor patio. Good kids menu options. And the bacon wrapped meatloaf is delicious!

Raglan Road is a must do for us! My daughter LOVES it. The atmosphere is super fun, and the food and drinks are great for the adults (my hubby says it is one of his favorite steaks on property)!

We'll be going to homecomin

THis was going to be my suggestion.

Great if you like spending a mortgage payment on a fried chicken meal.

I think that the prices were reasonable when compared to the rest of DIsney restaurants. I know that my friend and I were able to split a meal and not leave hungry. If my DH and DSIL were with us they woudl have had plenty with a meal and we still woudl have kept our bill down to a decent price.

OP- I like Raglan Road, but I would suggest Homecomin if you want a homey atmosphere. In December we sat next to a young couple with a little girl. I have no idea what that child's meal was, but it looked delicious and would have been enough for me. It was either fish tenders or fried chicken tenders.

Thank you all for the great suggestions! :thanks:

I've heard great things about Homecomin', but we live in Georgia and nothing compares to Savannah restaurants when it comes to southern food ;)

You made me LOL! The bribes are a great idea. Thanks!

I'd say Boathouse or Homecomin. They have the best kids meals. Raglan Road is really loud...uncomfortably so IMO. My kids wouldn't be able to tolerate that but if your kids are okay with that, it's a good place.

I don't like fried chicken, so I didn't get that. I thought it was a little expensive too, but I wouldn't pay $2 for fried chicken.
