I am absolutely desperate for new bathroom rugs. I would go without all together, but our bathroom is cold! I have tried fixing and repairing the rugs I have, but they are nearly 20 years old and just beyond resuscitation!

I am in need of three rugs.... a small shower rug, a toilet area rug (the men request this even though I think it is yucky) and a long narrow rug for in front of the double vanity. Everything I've looked at in Target, BB&B will run me about $60 plus AT LEAST for all three.

I've looked for months now at the thrift stores and online yard sales, but can't find the right combo of sizes in the color I would like (black would be fine, a pink-toned beige would work as well).

Any great ideas/bargains that you know of??? TIA...................P

I am always able to find bathroom/shower rugs when I need them at Ross (or Marshall's, TJ Maxx, etc.) I like cream colored high pile rugs (like a spa) and I've never paid more than $8 even for a large one - usually I find sets of 2 for $8. Look with the bath towels. Usually the colors are tans, whites, sage green, etc...you could maybe find pink, but black might be hard. Kmart? That may be one place that still sells toilet rugs.

Tuesday Morning or TJ Maxx often have some really good ones.

Homegoods and Kohls- when they are on sale. Even better if you have a Kohls charge. I held off on getting one, but decided to go for it last summer, and have been able to get some amazing deals. We got two new sets of great bath towels very inexpensively, and beach towels too...

I'm watching this thread, too since last week I washed my rugs and one small one and the toile tone around fell apart. I am thinking that I'll check Kohl's and see if I can get one or 2 on coupons until I have them all replaced. Good luck!

TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Stein Mart...I know Stein Mart gives out coupons quite a bit..

Maybe a wholesale club? Costco's, Sam's? I got ours at Costco, a big memory foam one for maybe $15

I know these stores are regional, but I found bathroom floor mats/rugs at Meijer. It is a grocery/retail combination store here in the Midwest like Walmart or Target. They were $8 each and are decent quality. I'm not sure they'll last for years, but I have two girls who share a bathroom. I've replaced the floor mats twice in the last couple of years with spilled makeup, nailpolish, etc. so I'm not willing to spend a lot.

I don't see what we bought in the store online, but they have a website you can order from:

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I have looked around a bit more....nothing at the thrift stores, nothing at the discount stores I have nearby, and nothing on Amazon that fits my needs.

I would consider making my own, but I couldn't imagine how to start.... maybe with some good heavy duty terry cloth and those mesh things that you use to keep area rugs from slipping? I'm thinking that would probably cost me more in the long run, not to mention the aggravation.

I'll keep looking!..............P

How about BEd bath and beyond with their 20% off coupons? I know they take expired coupons and you can use more than one coupon at a time. So three 20% off coupons, one for each item.

first OP I agree, a toilet rug is EWWWWWWWWW gross! there should not be a rug around a toilet, the ick factor is so high..... that said, I just walk into any Marshalls or something and buy a rug, I have never seen one that costs more than about 12.00-usually less.:confused3 Walmart has CHEAP bath rugs too.....

I got our memory foam ones at Kohls on sale plus used a 30% coupon. I agree on the toilet rug, yuck, I hate it!

I do have a small "collection" of BB&B coupons, but I usually save them to use for my Soda Stream refills.... but maybe I'll have to rethink that this month!

That is a great deal, but unfortunately they don't have the rugs I need in a color that will work for me.... :worried: Thanks for finding it for me though!

I haven't found anything that low priced, especially for the larger rug I need for in front of the vanity. Guess I'll need to look some more!

Is the memory foam stuff washable? I've been wanting one for in front of the fridge (DH is terrible about dropping ice cubes and not picking them up!!).

Thanks again for all of the help! I'm still looking, but I realized I have a Macy's coupon in my wallet, so I will be looking online there today............P

About the toilet mat, why not use a "normal" small, rectangular mat in front of the toilet instead of one that wraps around it? No one stands with their feet *right* next to the toilet base anyway, especially on the sides. I would think it'd be easier to find rectangular mats than u-shaped ones. Plus, it'd be a bit more sanitary too.

How about this?

You could buy 3 and be done. (Or maybe buy 2, cutting one in half, if you know how to sew)

...........

Another option would be using 4 identical smaller mats. One for the shower, one for sink#1, one for sink #2, and one for toilet.
