I was totally surprised of the wake up Tink! I had never heard of this made me think I might want to ask what other things like this are out there.

What other neat little "special" things like this can you do at WDW?
How do you get a certificate?

My DS7 got to open the Hippy Dippy Pool at POP one day (cute ceremony) and he got a Certificate, and we also rode up front in the monorail with the pilot, and got Co-Pilots' licenses. Pretty neat.
:thumbsup2

When we went to MGM in 2004, DH ran to TOT when the park opened.. I stayed behind with the kids... so, we were window shopping and a CM came up to us and asked if we wanted to make the Potato Head of the Day! The kids each designed one and they were put up on a shelf on display for the whole day! The kids each got a Magical Moment Certificate for doing that also!

They had fun. I don't remember the name of the store, but, it was on the corner of the main road and the road where TOT was!

We've had a few of these moments on our last two trips to WDW. Last trip both my boys were asked to help steer the Liberty Square River boat. They stayed up stairs with the crew the whole way around. They thought this was great. This trip my daughter was asked to participate in the cute program they do at STorytime with Belle. I had no idea about this little corner in MK until I read about it on these boards. She loved it!! At our resort this past trip, our kids got Junior CHef certificates for helping the "Chef" decorate giant sugar cookies. We stayed at POFQ and they were also given beads and pins. Our last stay there they didn't do this, so the kids thought this was great.

While I've never stayed at the WL, I definitely want to sometime, and when we do, I would love to be a "Flag Family" that gets to raise the flag early one morning. If you're staying at WL, check that out!

My boys got special licenses for being "guest conductors" on the Magic Kingdom train. We were sitting in the back row, and the conductor asked them if they would like to stand with her on the platform and help. They took turns wearing the conductor's hat and speaking into the microphone. DS5 announced "All aboard!", while DS2 said "All clear!" They LOVED this. :goodvibes

My DD was also in Belle's story (get their early and sit right in the line of sight....ok, I also pointed at DD (not in an obnoxious way) when they were picking charecters.

DD also was in the front of the monorail and got a special conductor's liscense. She and DS also woke up Tink.

Not as unique as waking Tink but DD loved the Primate Parade in AKL (children pick instruments from the gift shop and than parade through the Lobby - 7pm nightly) as well as the scavenger hunt at Once Upon on Toy on the back of the Potato Head print out. Both activities "earned" DD a Magical Moments certificare which made it more special to her

We were one of the first few families at the PSB at the Norway pavillion a couple of years back. DD9 (now) was selected as princess of the day. She got to open the restaurant with a wave of her magic wand. We were then led to our table by Aurora personally. It was pretty cool! :cool1:

DD got a certificate at World of Disney once. I was going to take a picture of her by the window where they had all of the princess dresses (but with the dresses behind her and the window behind the dresses), and a nice CM had us bring DD to the very front of the window -- she looked like she was part of the display -- and gave her a certificate after I took the picture.

What do you do/where do you go to wake up Tink?
I forgot to post about waking up TInk. There have been a lot of threads about this lately, so if you search you'll find some good information. Basically, if you are the first person who asks to wake up Tink at the Tinkerbell's Treasures shop in Fantasyland in the MK, a CM will give you a wand (girl) or sword (boy) which you tap 3 times on Tink's box; then the CM secretly hits a button and lights come on over the ceiling -- it's supposed to be Tink's pixie dust. They give you a certificate when you're done. Usually, this requires that you are the first person in the shop in the morning, so you'd better be moving quickly (but no running or pushing) when the rope drops.

For FotLK at AK, find a seat right behind the handicapped, but not directly behind, so you are sticking out the ends (like you would now be the first row).

Your children have a better chance to be picked to demonstrate the animal sounds for your section and for the show's finally.

DD got to wake up Tink on our trip. We did not have to run to the store because it was empty when we went in. It was very cute. Also on a previous trip DD got to ride Barnstormer with Goofy.

and DD got to go up on the landing with the CM and ring the bell and announce DINNER IS SERVED...or something like that. She got a certificate and a handful of sparkly Mickey confetti. She loved it!!!The certificate was not signed but as the characters came to the table they signed it for her (Chip and Dale, Minnie and Goofy)
