My apologies for repeating this question as l am sure it would of been asked before, we are staying at AKL in 10 days time, and have ordered some things from the garden grocer as we do not drive.
But my daughter has decided she would like to visit a walmart whilst there, if someone can tell me which is the nearest and biggest to go to l would be grateful, we will have to get a taxi there and back. I have looked on the walmart website but am a little confused l think it is because we do not drive so have no idea how far they are away.
Many thanks

what's she looking for? as there are better things to be had in supertarget or Michell's
If its clothes shopping the outlet village at Vineland (premium outlets ) a great day out and its a $15 ish taxi from AKL
Paul

thanks for the reply she is looking for any disney gifts that may be cheaper than the park and things like disney PJ's, scrapbooking items and she loves anything that is american themed if you know what l mean, l think she was born in the wrong country as her room is full of stuff, you know what teenagers are like

Haha, I know what your daughter is like ;-)

Even though it will cost me extra $$ I want to take a trip to a nearby Supertarget or Walmart while at WDW, I know I can order things through gardengrocers but I love looking at everything myself and picking up stuff like chewing gum and snack to take back to the UK ;-)

So, I too would love to know how far the nearest Walmart or Supertarget are :)

I love going to Walmart a few times too :goodvibes last year it was all to easy to fill my trolley with lots of Disney stuff for my nieces and friends kids (and I had only gone in store for some more water!) when I reached the checkout it was over $300  all those $2 and $3 soon add up!! well worth it though when you're giving out your pressies :)

Rienchen, I also stock up on chewing gum and snacks to bring home! last year with VA we had a very generous 46kg each baggage allowance, so we could bring home lots of goodies :goodvibes

wow, if I had a 46kg allowance I'd probably start and bring cereal home with me *haha* Reeses Puffs and Lucky Charms..*yum*

We (likely) won't have a car next year so might have to take a bus or cab to a grocery store.

Sounds like you two are they same as my daughter, so l will have to make sure l get her there, just need to know were it it

Dizzyhead, I just got my map of Orlando out and had a look, I think the nearest Walmart would be the supercentre at 3250 Vineland Road in Kissimmee, which would be about 8 miles or so.... That is the one we used last year when staying at the Pop Century, there is another further along into Kissimmee on W Vine Street which we have also been to, but Vineland Road would be nearer.

We didn't have transport last trip but had no probs taking a cab from the Pop and then arranging for the same driver to come back for us 2 hours later. Hope that helps :goodvibes

Unfortunately Virgin aren't as generous now - only 23kgs in economy, but will still enjoy getting my fix of reeses peanut butter cups and butterfinger crisps amongst others! only 12 months to wait haha :)

We. Stayed in Florida Mall on the first half of our trip, so we went to the Walmart out there first, then we went to the Walmart near WDW to stock up on water and fruit etc. We also bought lots of food, but we sent it all home to Australia. But I can relate, my teenage daughter is obsessed with all things American. I must admit I'm not much better. We just love it there!

Unless a new Walmart has sprung up since we last visited in July 2010 then the one mentioned by OrangeTiggs and Piglet is the closest. Its on SR535 just down past the Lake Buena Vista outlets.

Taxi from AKL or DTD probably best idea.

Thanks for all the replys, she is getting excited at visiting a Walmart, l think l will have to pay for extra baggage
