Nearest supermarket to POR

Normally throughout our holiday we stock up on food items in supermarkets which are right by the hotels we stay in. It works out so much cheaper. I'm staying on-site at POR for the first time and know the prices there will be even higher.

Can anyone tell me the nearest/easiest supermarket to get to from POR?

I was thinking the same thing. We will be staying at Pop and thought we would go to the nearest wal-mart to stock up but not sure how close this would be given we will not be renting a car and will be cabbing it.

The nearest shopping center is called Crossroads Shopping Center. It has a grocery store. I believe that we found it on the map the resort gave us. When you check in to POR, you should just ask them to give you directions to it. It was only a few minutes away. We are staying at POR in March! Can't wait to go back!

Another option is to order groceries ahead of time and have them delivered to your resort. We have used gardengrocer.com and another one I believe is called wegoshop.

Goodings is the grocery at the Crossroads. It's expensive though. If you can go a little further down 535 going towards I-4 make a left at Little Lake Bryan (there's also a sign there for Mary Queen of the Universe Church) and there is a Publix at the end of the street across from the outlet mall. If you go a little further on 535 past the turn for Little Lake Bryan, there is a Super WalMart on your right.

There's a Publix like 4 minutes drive from POP. Not sure on POR though!

There's a Winn-Dixie not too far.

Gooding is close if you don't have a car. If you do have a car go to Publix. There's one near the Premium Factory Outlets near Mary Queen of the Universe Church. If you have no car you probably would pay more/less the same on property.

Cab from DD to Goodings is about $5. If you don't have a car that is an option. It is likely $15 from your resort to Goodings depending on where you are.
