Last week, I decided to follow AprilN who lost so many pounds by just deciding to act like a healthy person acts. Today is the last day of my first week of eating like a healthy person does. I am so pleased with how I have made my food choices this week. I have make deliberate attempts to eat something healthy when I felt hungry, not just grab the first thing I found. I also didn't stock the kitchen with my food triggers: Crackers, chips, etc. I feel so proud of myself.

I have been keeping track on my calories, fat, fiber, etc on fitday. My goal has been to keep each day under 2000 calories, and over 20 grams of fiber, while watching the fat. While that sounds high (the calorie part) at my starting weight, I can still lose weight. I have succeeded in doing this every day this week!!

I started the week at 261 ( my highest weight ever). When I weighed this morning I was 253.5 . 7.5 pounds this week.

My goals for next week: Continue with the fitday-2000 calories, 20+ fiber. Add one bottle of water to my intake each day. Exercise at Curve or walking 3X this next week.

I've strayed. We went on vacation and I did ok, but since returning life had once again gotten in the way.

I have not regained all of the weight I had lost, but when I weighed in this morning, I was at 257. Time to begin again.

My goal for the next week: Exercise at least 5 days (either at Curves or walking); keep track of my food intake using fitday, aiming at less than 2000 calories, with appropriate intake of fiber, protein, etc. Drink my water.

Write in my journal at least weekly.

Welcome back!!! You know, you're already on track to success. Why? Because if you weren't determined to continue in your new healthy lifestyle, you would never have come back to WISH! Your goals sound very reasonable. You can do it!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Busy past couple of weeks for me. I've managed to maintain, which given my behaviors, I'm pretty happy with.

Heading out to Curves.

Have been picking up the exercise pace, and tracking calories, etc on fitday. I feel so much better when I do this.

DSis went to the doctor about a sore on her foot that just would not heal--tested her blood sugar--it was 210! Dr. did the test for the average over the last few months and said she was borderline pre-diabetes. With our maternal family history, this is a true threat to me--my mother, both my uncles, both grandparents. My brother had diabetes and then developed pancreatic cancer and died. And now my sister. Diabetes scares the $&^( out of me. This is serious!

I've done what I said I would this week. I've eaten sensibly, and with thought, instead of mindless snacking. I've upped my water intake and cut down on my diet sodas. Most importantly to me, I've walked or gone to Curves every day this week.

I am down 3 pounds from last Sunday, and I feel so much better.

What a successful week!! It's results like that, that help us keep going. So glad you're feeling so great. Have a great weekend!

I am so happy with my progress. I have exercised almost every day this month. I missed exercising on the 2nd, and on the 13th, but then I exercised double on the 14th to make up for it. I continue to think through my food, and write down everything I eat. I am gradually replacing my diet drinks with water.

I feel better; I haven't been starving; and I am down another 2.5 pounds.

Fantastic! :yay:

Congrats on your hard work--and your success. I wish you continued healthiness! :cool1:

I continue to exercise regularly--I missed Wed of this week since I began the morning with a 7 am meeting, and ended the day at 9 pm.

I am thrilled with my continuing to think before I eat. Since beginning this eating healthy, I have lost 12 pounds (it was 13, but the scale jumped up this am--hopefully due to salt intake yesterday.) I really feel as though those pounds are gone!

DH and I went out to dinner tonight. I had tuna--yum, and didn't eat something unless I truly wanted it. (the potato just wasn't worth the calories, so I didn't eat it).

Tomorrow may be a challenge--eating out all day while attending a basketball and football game--but I have already thought of some food to carry along to stop from eating the concession food.

This week was a struggle. I ditched exercising for 4 days in a row. But, I got up and exercised this morning.

I did measure this am. I am down 9.5 pounds since October 1, and down 14.5 from my highest weight. I have lost 5 inches, but I am most happy to have lost inches in my arms and thighs!!

I wasn't good about entering my food into fitday these past few days, but I will be doing that again.

Awesome job on the loss! And congrats on getting back to your exercise. Sometimes we all need a break, but the key thing is you got back on the horse (so to speak!)

Keep it up!

Great job on the pounds lost AND inches!! Isn't that a great feeling? One thing I love to do is to hold the measuring tape around my waist or thigh, etc.. and hold the tape to the width where my body used to be. You can literally see how much smaller you're getting. Keep up the amazing work and have a great week!! :thumbsup2
