Sorry, someone mentioned on one of my other posts about NCL that it should be placed on the cruise forum -- but I do not see a cruise forum other than Disney and RCCL.

Anyway, my question is -- has anyone done The Supper Club on any of the NCL ships? We are thinking of using one of our specialty dinner slots for it for our 40th, but was wondering if it was worth it.

[I am asking posters here who have experienced it -- please don't tell me to post on CC as I've already been through that]

Thanks much.

We did the Supper Club when we were on the ship in August and it was complimentary. We did have to sign up the beginning of the week for a time, but that was it.

We really enjoyed it. It was a fixed menu, but all of the food was really good. Depending on the price I would do it again.

DH and I, his sister, DD #1, DS#2 and our niece all stuck to the complimentary dining and didn't feel like we missed anything. Everything we had was great. We did find the Manhattan Room to be very loud so we only had one meal there.

DD#2 & her boyfriend had dinner in Cagney 'sand said that while it was really good, they didn't think that it was that much better than the main dining room.

DS#1 and his fiancé tried a lot of the extra spots. Off the top of my head they did Pincho's (more than once), Food Republic (more than once), Bayamo, Le Bistro and La Cucina. They enjoyed all of their meals.

If you have any questions about the Escape and don't want to post here, feel free to PM me.

This really should be posted over on the Cruise board.

Are you talking about Cruise Critic? I specifically said I was looking for answers here. Why is it so hard to get a response to something about other cruise lines other than RCCL and DCL!

We are getting three specialty dining dinners as part of a promotion, so Cagney's and Le Bistro might be our other two. Thanks for the info.

Do you remember what the fixed menu was?

What do you have against posting your question(s) on the NCL Cruise Critic board?

You may find a few people here to answer you but you most certainly will find lots of people on that board to answer you.

It's been a great help to me when planning a cruise.

May I ask why you are so heavily oppossed to cruise critic? The NCL boards there will have literally hundreds of people experienced with the specific line and you are asking some very specific questions (I saw one of your threads wanted to know about an exact stateroom's layout as far as where the sofa would be, etc). I don't think anyone is trying to be rude by suggesting you ask there, merely pointing out that you will likely find far more help for what you need on that site---which is desgined very much to be what you seem to be looking for, than you'll find here.

Agree Cruise Critic is the correct place for your questions. They have a specific NCL forum and the members there are great. They answer any questions you have and more importantly the very specific ones. There will be a roll call for the specific cruise you are going on where you can meet people in your cruise.

The Escape is a beautiful ship and NCL is a wonderful cruise line. We cruised them on May 2017.

If you have questions post there and remember not having an attitude will go a long way. You seem not to want to follow at one and post there when that is where your best information is.

As I recall it was an appetizer of three things, salad, chicken/shrimp for the main meal and three small things for dessert. It was all very good.

OMG -- do you people get commissions for pushing Cruise Critic. I've already stated on a previous thread that their new site set up is annoying and I find it almost impossible to find reviews for specific items since the change.

In addition, in the past I have found their reviews to be, for the most part, very critical for minimal and ridiculous reasons that would not normally bother me on a cruise. I find their site tiring at times.

For me, it was an easier fix to ask here from a site I am familiar with to people who may have personal experience and can talk to me about it rather than reading 1,000 reviews.

Sorry if it annoys you all, and you don't seem to understand it. But if you don't have an answer to my specific question, fine -- but please stop judging me for not wanting to use Cruise Critic or making it sound like I have attitude.

Do you realize in 12 posts, only one person has had the decency to answer my original inquiry. The rest are just questioning my posting :confused3

If the moderator wants to close this site, that's fine with me. I realize now that you're only allowed to ask specific topics in some cases. Thanks anyway.

I don't think anyone was suggesting that you read through a ton of reviews. You could ask the same exact question that you asked here and get a number of answers in a matter of minutes. I'm not sure why you're so angry about the responses. I think people were just trying to be helpful.

There's a huge difference between being "angry" and being extremely frustrated. It just seemed pointless for everyone to spend their responses questioning my choice of where I placed my question.

I had a time limit and was trying to get quick responses without wading through another site. Obviously that doesn't work here.

It's fine -- I'm moving on. No need to revisit this topic.

I am sorry it upset you that I asked why you were opposed to cruise critic---I never read anything but the little bit of your other posts that shows up when I hold my cursor over it, because NCL is not a line I've been on---so I did not know you had already explained why you are not asking on CC (though, I agree with the PP that your reasons are perhaps misguided, you do not need to read reviews there, just ask there as you did here).

It must be frustrating to have only gotten one person answering with the information you need, but that is not likely because no one wants to help you, and more likely because this particular board doesn't have a whole lot of people who sail ncl, or sail it often enough to feel qualified to answer your questions. It's not that people are refusing to (or don't wish to) help you, it is that we lack the knowledge to be able to ---which is why so many of us keep trying to streer you towards a place where we know there are people who COULD provide you with the answers you want. Getting all bent out of shape when people offer you the best help they can (by recomending cc) is kind of rude. We're doing out best here.

They were trying to help you get a quick and accurate answer to your question.

Are you going to the Cruise Critic website? Or the Cruise Critic message board? Because the message board is set up very similarly to this and you can use the search bar in the same way you'd use here.

No I don't get a commission but I don't understand why you're so offended that you've asked for advice and people are giving it to you... Go to Cruise Critic.
