NC Parents - Intercede to Succeed Program - Any Info

My son's school is moving him to a "special" first grade class since he is behind in reading. Most of the kids in the class will be from the Intercede to Succeed (ITS) program.

Does anyone have first hand experience with the ITS program?

I've never heard of it, so I'm guessing it's a Chatham County program. Does the school system website have any information?
