After much family drama this year for Christmas, we (me, DH, DD6, DD1) are considering going out of town this year for Christmas. We live in FL, and even though warm weather sounds great for a lot of you northerners, 82 degrees on Christmas is ridiculous!
We would love to rent a cabin in western NC, NE Georgia, or somewhere in Tennessee for about a week. We would like to spend no more than $800-1000 for the week, and will of course look at anything cheaper! Some of the things we would like to have nearby - mountains, SNOW!, small downtown areas w/ cutesy shops, tree farms, hayrides, skiing, activities for kids, etc. I want us all to be able to relax, but also enjoy the outdoors. My DD6 is DYING to see snow and, even though we can't control the weather, it would be great to have it and play in it!
Does anyone have any recommendations? TIA!
