Navigating the My Disney Experience (MDE) Web Site and App

Hmmm...well...I can link my September reservation through my computer at work, but the new website looks all wonky. When I use the app on my iPhone and iPad, I can't see it. I can't seem to add it to my iPhone and when I try to manually add it on the app on my iPad, I get a message that says it's already linked and to click ok to see the details...I click...and nothing happens and no reservation .

I'm having this same problem. Is there anything I can do?

I read a lot of posts (not all) so apologies in advance if I missed this basic question:

at my 180 day mark I was bedridden with a migraine so my wife got up and made a BOG ressie. She created her own MDE account.

She's also listed under mine as someone "who often travels with me" (as an aside this is a rather funny description, perhaps I should refer to her this way more often? :rotfl: I believe I will! "Hi my name is Mike and this is Renee, someone who often travels with me.")

anyway - how do I get the BOG ressie onto my "main" account? Add the Confirm #? Send her an invite from my MDE?

any info appreciated!

I can't speak for exacts but my Dh can see our plans on his account. I had to invite him, him accept invite and now he can see anything I booked

It's been asked before, but no one answered. Has anyone used the here and now button inside the parks?
Here's how I'm hoping it will work:
I am in Magic Kingdom. Someone says, "I'm hungry, hot, want to ride X, needing a potty, etc." I push my magic "here and now" button and a list pops up telling me what's nearby with distance and general direction maybe. (e.g. family restroom: N 20 ft) I click on the needed item and specific details and directions lead me right where I want to go.

Am I dreaming? :faint: Am I spoiled by the gps on my phone and google maps at my fingertips? princess: Or is this where Disney is headed? :snail: or :moped:

No, but I hope it works like that.

I'm at the park now and using it. It's sometimes a bit slow. But basically it works the way you describe. Although it either offers a list or a map. It does not offer directional information. For attractions it can tell you which rides have the shortest waits near you, for instance.

I am not terribly excited about the App, I think it's a bit slow. But, I do like the reporting of wait times rather than using a Non-Disney approved app. They were pretty on par when I was up there in Feb.

Also, I had issues with the ADR section either freezing or crashing even with full Wifi or 4g service.

What I wish would happen (I assume it will in the future) is that we should be able to make a hotel ressie with the app. The DIS webpage is awful on the computer which makes it horrendous on the phone. LOL!

I'll add that the wait times and FP return times reported by the MDE app have been spot on with the actual posted times at the rides. Which is to say that they do as well to predict the wait times as Disney does. But it's very nice to be able to see the FP return times from anywhere in the park (or even from your resort).

Not our experience last week. Wait times were off in park and CMs were telling guests all week that posted times were wrong.

When we compared to MDE app, we noticed some fluctuations as well, on various days.

Does it appear that when released you will be able to book the FP+ on the computer? What about those who don't have smart phones or tablets? Will I be out of luck if it is working in May?

Yes, you will be able to do it via the web page.

You will also be able to deal with FP+ in the parks at kiosks, and perhaps at the resorts as well.

Thanks! I thoughtbit said that in the facts but I just continually see here mentions of it showing up in the app (the fastpass + button) but it has not shown up on my computer at all. We leave is 51 days.

Yes, the application has a button currently, but it is non-functional. They may have pushed it out so they might not have to update the application again just to activate it.

Oh, I wasn't saying the posted times were accurate. I was saying they matched the times listed in the app. But I can't say the posted times were any less accurate then any previous trip we've taken. They give a general idea of how long the line is.

So I have our tickets! ow where do I go to enter them on the Site?

It still appears that the only tickets that can be entered are the ones that are part of a Disney Resort package. Is that what you have?

:thumbsup2

MDE does this very well. The accuracy of the posted times it reports depends on the attraction's own estimate. I tend to believe those are pretty accurate, except for unplanned ride stoppages and times posted very near the end of the day.

Yup, I understood what you said. I am saying that we noticed a discrepancy between posted times and the App.

Nope, purchased separately, from Disney, but not as part of a package.

Leaving wdw now. Still no sign of magicbands. I asked at the concierge desk and he said they are expected sometime soon. But he also admitted that has been the story for a few months now.

I changed my old non expiring paper tickets for RFID cards at guest relations in the park. Resort desk was not able to do this.

I'll try to update the front page with more info about the "Here Now" feature when I get back from my cruise. Until then... Later!!!
