Not really sure what day it is, so I'm thankful for the thankful Thursday prompt. Yesterday was first day back in the office after the long weekend and it was one of those "let's cram an entire week into one day" days. I got a lot more done than I thought I would, but today will be spent picking up the pieces I may have dropped.
I didn't get as much household resetting done while I was off as I had planned, but am making steady progress and feeling good about that. I'm slowly putting up Christmas, so far just the new faux garland on the fireplace mantle, which I really like. Plus I've been having a fire most evenings which is just lovely.

Then I dropped off my rental car...good riddance. DH picked me up and dropped me off at the body shop where I had to pay the $500 deductible even though I wasn't at fault...insurance will reimburse me blah blah blah. After everything seemed fine, DH left. I began to write a check but they don't accept personal checks. I had to call him to come back with his credit card since I didn't have one on me. All of the chaos led up to the best moment of the week, when I saw her...my pretty Ford Escape made whole again. They even gave her a bath. It felt so good to drive her. Heaven.
