Na'vi River Queue for Visually Impaired

Can someone tell me if the Na'vi River Journey queue area is very dark? I'm a solo traveler and visually impaired. I have a white cane but only use it on specific occasions as most of the time I can get around no problem with plenty of light. But coming in from light to dark takes my eyes a very long time to adjust. There are some rides I usually avoid because of the dark twisting queues such as Nemo or Indiana Jones at DLR. I just want to be prepared for my upcoming trip on what to expect as I do want to go on this ride.

Added note: When I went solo a couple of years ago I asked a CM at the entrance of 7DMT if someone was available to help guide me through the queue area. (I really wanted to go on it) They went above and beyond and not only did another CM get called to help me but she sat with me on the ride and pointed out all the awesome features I would have missed. As much as I loved that, I just can't bring myself to ask someone to guide me through Na'vi as I would be pulling a CM from their regular duties.

Na'vi looks pretty dark. I have not been yet, to tell you exactly how it is in person, but we will be there in less than 2 weeks. My daughter has low vision and Optic nerve atrophy. We have watched some Videos from travelers on Youtube, and it does appear that way. I will post after our experience, in case you are going after Sept 22. We are planning to try the Audio Visual device, to enhance her trip. Good luck with your upcoming visit

Thanks for sharing your experience! My impairment is similar to yours, but I've had CMs at the Haunted Mansion tell me they weren't allowed to assist me like that. However, a lovely guest stepped in, took my hand, and led me through the dark loading area so I wouldn't get hurt. People can be so nice sometimes!

Sadly, HM is always skipped when I travel solo.
