Na'Vi Down for 3+ hours this a.m.

I can't complain too much, since we were lucky enough to score FOP FP+s even as offsite guests, but it still stinks to get up at 6:30 a.m. expressly to ride Na'Vi (which the rest of my family has never experienced) and find that the ride isn't working at 8 a.m. Rope Drop.

It wouldn't be so bad, but nobody told us whether it would be up and running soon, or what was going on. So we stood there for an hour (as most people who got there early did), until we had to go use our FOP FP+. Na'vi was still down when we exited that attraction, so we moved on to the rest of the park, which was pretty packed by then. (80 minute wait for EE at 10:00.) Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be able to come back and experience Na'Vi. I know it's not the greatest ride in the world, but the kids were looking forward to it. And we like having that sense of completion when it comes to experiencing a new WDW attraction.

That being said, I cannot say enough good things about FOP! It exceeded my expectations, which were quite high going in. I actually felt teary-eyed getting off it because it was so awe-inspiring. I think I can say it's my favorite attraction at any theme park now. Just a stunning home run by Disney's Imagineers.

Another silver lining: after using our 3 FPs at AK, and constantly refreshing the app, I managed to nab us rolling FPs for Soarin' tonight.

I think the biggest issue with Na'vi going down is that piles more pressure on the other attractions, which today was compounded by Kali going down too; after this the queues for Everest were starting to get a little crazy (but to be fair no where near FoP crazy!)
