@mousefan73, you did go to Nature villages, right?
Yes I did! Still need to do my trip report lol.
we went as a family this past September.
here are my thoughts!
1. To begin with they are two different ways to book this resort. You can either book via Disney as part of a package or you can book individually. Both have pros and cons. I believe if you book it as a package via a Disney you qualify for the early morning hours we didn’t have this as we booked individually. Also depending on how your book you need to really look at the cancellation and change Rules.
2. I have to say that center parks were very flexible and great to work with during Covid. I think we had to change our reservation about four or five times. In fact at one time they even offered us a refund but then we decided to stick with our plans to travel.
3. We were a family of five that included my mother is so important for us was having a second W/C . You have to be careful and looking at floorplans a lot of times they have two showers but only one toilet - ( and at first it looks like you have two complete bathrooms but you don’t ). Those are available but they’re hard to find.
4. The place is huge I would compare to either Orlando’s Caribbean Beach resort or Coronado. And the fact that say almost a tad bigger from one end to the other.
5. We only used their pool facility nothing else so I can’t comment on other activities things. Their water park is simply awesome and that alone is worth for a family of five at least 60 or €70 a day when I compare to what I would pay locally to go to a place like that. Just as a tip my mother did ruin her glasses in the lazy river. She wore her real glasses well passing under the waterfall in the water took off her anti-glare layer and they were smudged.
6. We had a two story house ( forgot the category ) upstairs were three bedrooms one was a double bed in the other two were single beds but I believe you could push the mattresses together. This was really the only bad part is that the beds were not great . My daughters squeaked so loud I could hear every single turn she took and she was in the other room. This will not be a reason for me not to stay there again. Upstairs was a shower and toilet bathroom. Downstairs you have a huge living space the kitchen is huge and has everything you need there’s also an entryway and a bathroom that had a shower and toilet to the highlight though was the terrace. OMG it was so huge with seating for everyone to loungers simply beautiful.
7. now the only thing that would make me reconsider a stay would be it was in peak summer where it’s very hot. There is no air-conditioning. And what really bothered me was the fact of the windows didn’t open all the way and this is the big thing - there were no screens!!! . We live in Germany and even all of our windows have screens on them. So it’s not just an American thing. I think every night I probably killed 20 or 30 mosquitoes that got into the house. Those huge ones. Because you are living kind of in a nature Reservoir it’s just really shocking to me and I still mean to write them actually complain about this. at least in the bedrooms put screens.
8. We ate once a Vapiano and it was good. The grocery stores also convenient and has a good selection at somewhat reasonable prices seeing that you’re at a resort resort. The whole dining in store promenade was actually really nice
9. The location it’s really close to Disney in fact it’s maybe just extra kilometer further than to see his own David Crockett branch. I think it’s a five minute drive we drove with our car but they do have an a shuttle that cost a few euros. I think a benefit if you book via Disney you get parking included - we had to pay per day.
10. When we were there in September we had to show a health pass when entering the resort. There’s basically one gate for access and when you check in they go through all your paperwork. We are all vaxxed and got wristbands. If you are not vaxxed. I believe the French law now that you have to have a test every 24 or 48 hours. There’s something they check at the entrance for even get on property. This did make lines in the car lanes sometimes a longer way to get on property. Once thought you were on property there are no Covid restrictions besides indoor mask requirements. I believe they didn’t reduce the capacity to the pool from what I gathered.
in a nutshell it’s a perfect location for families especially if you have time to go swimming their indoor water park and outdoor pool are simply awesome. kitchen if you cook is very nice. Beds could’ve been much better and lack of screens / A/C would be a bigger issue in the summer months. Any questions just ask
