well after that storm that hit 2 weeks ago they FINALLY announced that 4 counties in the state of NY(in Western NY) are considered a natural disaster.
which means that whoever needs funding will get it, but of course, they are being picky about what to give it for.
no one's getting anything for spoiled food or lost wages.
if your porch was hit by a tree, it's not covered......as well as your attic because you don't "live" in those spaces(unless someone is living in the attic).
there's so much more crap, but it's stupid. why do they have to be so stingy with the goverment money? we can spend all this money on wars and other countries but we can't help out or own people??
and why does it take so long for them to do these things? look how long it took with Katrina to get people down there and to get that declared a natural disaster. it's been 2 weeks and some people STILL don't have power.
*shakes head* don't get me wrong, everyone who was sent here from out of state to help have been very helpful, but why is it the government always seems like they just don't want to be bothered with big things like this?
